The Progressive Action Factor
Why is it that some people get better results more consistently with Law of Attraction principles than others? Even in cases where one gives several people of equal ability the exact same principle to use in their lives, the results that each participant gets will often be very different. In these cases it obviously isn’t the principle at fault or all of the participants would find it ineffective. And it can’t be the ability of the individuals at fault because we have said that results vary even where everyone involved is at the same ability level. So what is it that causes the varying results in such cases? We believe that it is something we call the Progressive Action Factor.
In any endeavour in life, the best way to get reliable and consistent results is to master something small and then progressively expand the sphere of action as your skills, confidence and application grows.
For example, if you wanted to be a world class cello player but you had never played before in your life you wouldn’t start out by booking a concert hall where you could perform. Instead you would learn technique and practice scales, then move onto the simplest of tunes before gradually progressing to more challenging material. By focusing on the smallest, most immediately relevant action and taking it, your skills would increase in the most efficient way possible. And yes, one day you could well be good enough to perform in a concert hall.
Unfortunately, many people who learn and use Law of Attraction principles completely ignore this Progressive Action Factor. Instead of starting out small – by learning how to manifest a parking space or improve a sometimes patchy relationship, for example – they set out to manifest a lottery jackpot or the starring role in a Hollywood blockbuster. Yes, those things are sometimes possibilities (the actor Jim Carrey used the Law of Attraction to make his first $20 million in Hollywood and there are people who claim to have won lottery jackpots with Law of Attraction technique) but unless you have developed mastery in the small things first and progressed gradually to the more ambitious desires, you aren’t likely to fare any better than an over-ambitious cello student booking a concert hall appearance on Day 1.
To make sure that you are taking the Progressive Action Factor into consideration, we advise all Law of Attraction students to follow a handful of simple rules:
1 – View your journey through life as if you were on a stairway to heaven, and take just one step at a time. Start where you are and focus on the most immediate task possible, and don’t try taking the next step until you have developed mastery in your current situation. For example, if you want to achieve the body of your dreams but you are currently a couch potato and habitually eat junk foods, focus on moving around more and adopting a healthier diet to increase your energy levels and improve your health and fitness.
2 – Be sure to make every mundane effort possible as well as employing Law of Attraction principles. Exercising more and eating healthier foods are mundane activities (or a form of lesser magick as you will recall from our discussion about The Accidental Magickian) but they are necessary to achieve success. By all means visualize having a healthier body and use other Law of Attraction principles, but don’t expect them to work without you putting in at least some mundane effort along the way. The universe helps those who demonstrate a willingness to help themselves.
3 – Be patient. Although taking the Progressive Action Factor into consideration makes development appear quite slow, over the long term it is always more effective – and faster – than trying to run before you can walk.
Adhere to these three simple rules and you should start noticing an improvement in the results you get in life almost immediately. But don’t take our word for this – give these rules a fair trial and you will soon see for yourself!
How to Amplify the Law of Attraction II
In the first part of this two-part series on How to Amplify the Law of Attraction, we said that the key to experience the full power of the Law of Attraction is to learn to work on a feeling level as well as on an intellectual level. We said that, as well as adjusting your thoughts, you also need to adjust how you feel if you want to manifest your desires as quickly as possible. So how exactly can you do that?
You have no doubt heard one commonly offered solution, which is to ‘act as if’ the thing you desire is already a part of your life. That is excellent advice, but to get the most out of it you should understanding that ‘acting as if’ doesn’t simply mean pretending that any feelings of lack that you might have don’t exist. Rather, it means transforming any feelings of lack into feelings of havingness.
Going back to the example that we used in the previous part of this series, if you wanted to experience a greater level of abundance in your life you would need to develop the feeling of already having all the abundance you could ever desire.
Developing such feelings of ‘havingness’ is something that many people find difficult due to the fact that physical reality often contradicts the desire that they hold. The secret to overcoming this problem is to start looking at life from the perspective of the unlimited spiritual being that you really are instead of the limited physical being that you appear to be.
As a spiritual being you lack nothing, so from this higher perspective you can quite easily develop a sense of ‘havingness’ about abundance, health, peace of mind, success, confidence or whatever else you would like to experience on the physical plane. And because you can, as a spiritual being, enjoy a sense of havingness with ease, by maintaining that feeling you will automatically raise your energy and amplify the Law of Attraction in your physical life.
We can therefore summarise the approach that you need to take to amplify the Law of Attraction as follows:
1 – Identify the condition that you want to experience in your life. (For example, abundant wealth).
2 – Adopt the perspective of the unlimited spiritual being that you really are and, from that higher perspective, enjoy the reality that you already have what you would like on the physical plane. (For example, as a spiritual being you already enjoy abundant wealth right at this moment because you are one with all the abundance in the universe).
3 – Maintain this sense of havingness and do not let it go. Even when your physical situation changes for the better (as it must when you adopt this approach to working with the Law of Attraction) there is never any need to revert to your previous perspective. Instead, continue enjoying your sense of havingness so that the Law of Attraction can continue enriching your life on an ongoing basis.
If you have ever wanted to amplify the Law of Attraction in your own life then try applying the ideas that we have presented here for a few weeks. When you bring a higher quality of energy to the task by developing a sense of havingness in advance, you will find that the Law of Attraction works far more effectively than you have ever dared to imagine. Enjoy!
How to Amplify the Law of Attraction
The Law of Attraction is a universal principle which really can help people to create good things in their lives, but not everyone who tries to work with the Law of Attraction gets the same quality of results. Some people read about the Law of Attraction, apply what they learn and find that they are able to manifest even sizeable desires with the greatest of ease. Others, by comparison, find that they have to work quite hard with the law of attraction to manifest even modest desires.
Some individuals have concluded that this variation in results means that the Law of Attraction is in some way inconsistent, but that is not the case. The variation in results is simply due to the fact that different people bring a different quality of energy to the task of creating good things in their lives. In short, those who bring a higher level of energy tend to experience speedier manifestations than those who bring a lower level of energy. It therefore stands to reason that if you have ever wondered how to amplify the Law of Attraction, the answer is to raise the quality of your own energy.
We all know how the Law of Attraction works theoretically – you attract whatever happens to be in tune with your own energy. The problem arises when people take the word energy to refer only to their thoughts.
Changing your thoughts is certainly important when you want to work with the Law of Attraction, but unless you also change how you feel on an energetic level you won’t manifest your desires as quickly as is genuinely possible.
For example, if you would like to experience a greater level of abundance in your life then it is obviously a very good idea to think abundant thoughts. But if you continue to feel a lack of abundance on a deeper level, that feeling of lack will reduce the effectiveness of your abundant thoughts. And unless you also start to feel abundant on an energy level you won’t experience the full power of the Law of Attraction in your life.
So how can you raise your energy to the point where you start experiencing the Law of Attraction at something approaching its full power? The answer is to learn to work on a feeling level as well as on an intellectual level, and we will discuss how to do that in the next part of this two-part series.
The Power of the Mind
The power of the mind is enormous, if not genuinely infinite. For millennia philosophers, spiritual leaders and in recent years even psychologists and scientists have said that the attitude or mind-set of a person can often have a direct effect on what that person experiences. In my opinion this relationship between attitude and winning is so important that I believe everyone who wants to win at life should invest some time in developing their latent Mind Power as fully as possible.
When it comes to Mind Power, there are only two kinds of people: those who use it, and those who abuse it. Those who use it deliberately develop their Mind Power in an effort to gain every possible edge in life. Those who abuse it often do so unconsciously, but nevertheless suffer as a result.
If you want to win at life, you must first of all ensure that you have developed and are using your inner Mind Power to its best effect. Fortunately, this isn’t difficult. It may, however, require that you change some of your core beliefs and attitudes.
To begin with, you should eliminate all negativity from your thinking. This is easier said than done, I know, but it is vital.
In this day and age it is easy to be negative about your life and your circumstances, but unfortunately, being negative never helps to turn your life or circumstances around. In fact, it only makes you feel worse and continue attracting negative circumstances! Being positive, on the other hand, can and does help to change both your life and your circumstances.
It is a fact of life that we all get what we expect. If we expect good things to happen then they invariably do. If we expect bad things to happen then they invariably do. In short, it can therefore be said that we always tend to get what we expect.
If you want to succeed and win at life, you must start expecting to succeed and win at life. It’s no good studying the Law of Attraction or simply going through the motions if you expect to fail deep down, because that hidden expectancy will still cause you to fail and your efforts would be fruitless.
The good news is that there are some very simple Mind Power development exercises which virtually anyone can use to start winning at life on a more consistent basis. There are three exercises in all, and using them daily will result in you developing your Mind Power with ease. All you have to do is carry out the following three exercises in the order given:
Exercise 1 – Affirm Success
Your subconscious mind is like a magical servant because it will do whatever it is told to do. Unfortunately, the conscious mind, which gives this servant its orders, often tells it to fail in life.
Affirmations have been proven by many people to help replace negative commands with positive ones, which obviously lead to more positive results. Our first exercise is therefore designed to bombard your subconscious mind with positive thoughts or affirmations.
Simply take five minutes each day (use a stop-watch if you want to be precise) and read the following affirmations out loud over and over again until the five minutes is up. You might feel a little self-conscious at first, but this is just because you are changing a pattern of negativity. Within a few days of practising the exercise the affirmations will become more and more believable as far as you are concerned and when this happens the positive effect will start to be seen in your external circumstances.
The affirmations to use are as follows:
I am a natural winner.
Whatever I touch becomes successful.
I am automatically guided towards success.
My positive mental attitude helps me to win at life.
Every day something good happens to me.
I am successful, victorious and happy.
Winning is automatic for me.
Exercise 2 – Picture Success
Images have just as much of an effect on our subconscious minds as our words do. It is therefore important to deliberately picture success and all that it means to you for five minutes each day if you want to become a genuinely consistent winner.
Now there are two ways of picturing success – one for those among you who can mentally visualize images (see Creative Visualization) and the other for those who cannot visualize so easily.
For those who can visualize, sit down quietly and imagine yourself living as a consistent winner. How would your life be different? Would you live in a larger home, drive a better car or enjoy more holidays? Whatever success means to you, imagine it now as though it has already happened. Enjoy this visualization completely. Actually work on convincing yourself that you are already enjoying the success you desire. This will ensure that the exercise is as beneficial as possible.
For those who cannot visualize with ease, do not worry. An equally effective way of picturing success is to collect a few pictures which symbolise what success means to you. Clip out a picture of the car you would like to drive, or the kind of house you would like to live in, or the holiday destinations you would like to visit. When you have a suitable collection of pictures, spend five minutes each day enjoying them, and just think how it will feel to have these things in your life.
Exercise 3 – Decide to Succeed
The third exercise calls for you to make a deliberate decision every single day to succeed and win at life. This might sound like a crazy idea, but it isn’t really. This is because when we make deliberate decisions, our subconscious mind automatically starts looking through its memory to find information, ideas and other items of data that will help you to follow through on your decision.
If you deliberately decide each day to win at life, your subconscious mind will immediately start working with you, rather than against you. It will start reminding you of books that you should read, steps that you should take and other things that you should do to help ensure that your goals are achieved as quickly as possible.
Making your daily decision to succeed is not difficult. You just decide! Some people like to profess their daily decision out loud, something like this:
‘Today I am committed to becoming more successful in every area of my life! I deliberately decide right now to focus 100% of my energy and concentration on taking more steps towards total success! Today I will win!’
How you phrase your own decision to succeed and win at life is up to you. Feel free to adopt the statement above, or invent your own. The way you phrase your decision is not important, all that is really important is that you:
a) Make a daily decision to succeed, and;
b) Stick to your decision by doing all you can to succeed today.
Like the previous two exercises, this one isn’t at all difficult, but it is still vitally important.
These three simple Mind Power exercises are simple enough for anyone to follow – even those who have no previous understanding of the Law of Attraction – yet they are still powerful enough to transform your life if you will allow them to. After you have been using them for a while you will feel good as a matter of course. You will habitually expect good things to happen – and they will! You will spend more and more time each day focusing on the things that can help you to succeed and as a result your whole life will become richer and more satisfying. In other words, you will be using the Power of the Mind to win at life!
