Instant Manifestation of Desire

The instant manifestation of desire is an idea that individuals have pursued for as long as the Law of Attraction itself has been recognised, which is several thousand years at the very least. The notion that there is a secret to manifesting any desire into its physical counterpart is, at first glance, an extremely attractive one. After all, who wouldn’t like to think of a million dollars and have it suddenly appear out of thin air? Or who wouldn’t like to desire an end to war and have it manifest just as quickly?

We know that the Law of Attraction works, and that desires can and do manifest themselves as physical reality, so why does the process usually take anything from a few hours to several years? And why, after thousands of years of study, has nobody managed to identify the elusive secret that would result in the instant manifestation of desire?

The most reasonable answer to me is that time itself acts as a kind of safety buffer between the moment of desire and the eventual manifestation of that desire. Such a safety buffer is necessary because all of us at some point desire things that are not good for ourselves or others. In a moment of embarrassment we might desire ‘to disappear into a hole’. In a moment of emotional upset we might desire something even more negative for ourselves or another person.

Clearly, if these irrational desires were allowed to manifest instantly, our lives would quickly descend into chaos. It could therefore be argued that having a gap of time between desire and manifestation is a perfectly good safety mechanism, and it could also be inferred that the more dramatic the desire, the longer it will take for that desire to be made manifest. Understanding this safety buffer concept is helpful because it enables us to be more patient when we are seeking to create good things in our lives, and prevents us from becoming frustrated when things don’t manifest as quickly as we would like.

Whatever desire we hold consistently is one that will manifest itself as physical reality in the future. If you focus on abundance at one moment and on poverty the next, your lack of consistency – in tandem with the safety buffer – will mean that no change in your circumstances are likely to be forthcoming. Your aim should therefore be to hold your positive desires consistently day after day, week after week, until the necessary safety buffer of time has passed and the universe allows that desire to manifest itself in your life. And of course, if you happen to have a single negative desire at any given moment, you won’t have to worry about that negative desire manifesting as reality.

Viewing the situation in these terms makes much more sense than pursuing a way to manifest your desire instantly. Instead, acknowledge that manifestation takes time and that there is probably a very good reason for that, then hold onto your positive desires and know that, when the time is right, it will surely be made manifest.

The Power of Celebration 5

In this short series on The Power of Celebration we have discussed various ways in which we can increase our celebration of life. But what are the benefits of using the six keys that have been described? Well, they are plentiful…

To begin with, celebrating life allows us to detach ourselves from the trivial problems and cares of the world which lead so many others into emotional states of sadness, depression and helplessness. It enables us to live ‘on a higher level of awareness’ and view life from an infinite and eternal point of view.

Celebrating life enables us to ensure that we do not neglect to live today to the full as we work towards the goals and dreams of tomorrow. We know that today is really all we have, so we make the most of it.

When we fully appreciate where we are right now, we can being to appreciate how we got here in the first place. If we have anything to be thankful for in our lives, then we can acknowledge the fact that we attracted these things, situations or people into our lives. This gives us all the faith we need to start deliberately attracting what we want to experience in the future.

Finally, when we make a point of celebrating life every day, a hint of what we commonly refer to as ‘the Christmas spirit’ becomes a part of our regular daily experience. No longer are joy and happiness things that are kept under lock and key until December 25, but they become habitual feelings which we experience day after day regardless of the time of year.

This Christmas, be sure to have a wonderful time. Enjoy the good food, the festive drink and the traditional music by all means, but also take time to make this Christmas a time of special spiritual development and awareness which will benefit you for the rest of your days. Appreciate what you have and the people you know and love. Give of yourself to the people around you. But most of all live every moment of your life to the full.

Merry Christmas!

The Power of Celebration 4

In this series on The Power of Celebration I am sharing six keys to increasing the amount of joy and fulfilment you have in your life. Here are the fifth and sixth keys…

Key #5 – Appreciate The World

Many people today despise the world they live in. They focus on the wars, famines, earthquakes, crime figures and political scandals which are so often the main news stories. But the world does have a lot of positive aspects and we should never forget that fact. Instead, we should take time to deliberately appreciate all the beauty and wonders of the world in which we live each day of our lives.

Step outside and look at your neighborhood. If you see houses, shops and bus stops then be thankful that you live in a community which has a whole host of convenient service and product providers and that your neighbours enjoy the warmth and comfort of modern housing. If you see fields, mountains and clouds then be thankful that you live in a place of visual beauty in which you can appreciate the miracle of nature from your own doorstep.

Wherever you are and whatever your situation, give thanks for the good that is around you. It is there in abundance, but we often notice it only when we take the time to look for it.

Key #6 – Live Today To The Full

The final key to celebrating life is to acknowledge that your time here on the earth plane is not infinite. We are all here but for a limited time, and none of us know how many months, years or decades we have left. This being the case, it makes sense that we should enjoy what we have to the full.

Make a point of reminding yourself every day that life is a gift. The fact that you are here, alive and well and breathing in and out is as good a reason to celebrate as any other you will ever be able to think of, for it is the most precious thing on earth.

Celebrate your alive-ness by living each day as if it were your last. Express love and kindness to everyone you meet. Give of yourself. Take time to smell the roses and enjoy the singing of the birds in the trees. Learn a little more about yourself and the universe. Keep problems and difficulties in their proper perspective and generally enjoy yourself.

The Power of Celebration 3

Continuing our discussion of The Power of Celebration, we now turn our attention to the third and fourth keys to increasing the sense of joy in your life…

Key #3 – Give Of Yourself

This key arises naturally out of the last one. When we stop and realize just how much we have and how blessed we have been in life, it is natural for us to want to share our joy and prosperity with those less fortunate than ourselves.

If you want to give money to charities and individuals, then do so, but do not think that money is all you have to give. You could give a ride to someone without transport. You could give a food hamper to a family you know who are struggling financially. You could give a toy to the local hospital or orphanage. You could give some time to anyone you know who is lonely and needs a friend.

When you think about it, there are an infinite number of ways in which you can contribute to the lives of other people. There are an infinite number of ways in which you can give more love, light, peace and joy to those around you. All you have to do is think for a few moments about the people you know and then decide how you would like to give of yourself to help these people celebrate and create good things in their own lives.

In giving, we receive. We may not receive like-for-like, but at the very least we experience the joy of being able to help others, and if we truly have a spirit of giving then no other reward is ever really necessary.

Key #4 – Appreciate Your Loved Ones

All too often, we get so wrapped up in helping obviously needy people that we fail to express our appreciation to those who are closest to us. The fourth key to celebrating life is therefore to deliberately appreciate your loved ones.

Think of the people you love and who love you, and think of how rich and satisfying your life is because of these people. They could be friends, parents, siblings, cousins, children or grandchildren. No matter who they are, express thanks for these people and then express appreciation to these people for bringing such joy and love into your life.

How you express your appreciation to these people will obviously depend on the people themselves. You may give gifts to some, share a thoughtful word with another, give practical help to yet another and so on. All that matters is that you let your loved ones know how much they mean to you.
