I will round up this series on The Magic Cloak with a few notes. First, understand that eventually someone will comment that you are like a completely different person. When this happens just smile and tell them that you feel like a completely different person!

Of course, it takes time for you to truly become what The Magic Cloak represents…

Occasionally you may be tempted to ‘step back’ into your previous self by smoking a cigarette, skipping your exercise routine or allowing a problem or stressful situation get the better of you. If you do give in to such temptation then realize that you chose to give in – you didn’t have to give in. Once you have taken responsibility for your action (and the new ‘old’ reality that it created) go back and create your Magic Cloak all over again. Never, under any circumstances, allow one mistake to bring your entire journey of power to a complete halt.

In addition, you may need to learn new skills or develop new habits so that you become more congruent with what The Magic Cloak represents. If this is the case then learn those skills and develop those habits. You will find that your new way of thinking, speaking and acting actually accelerates the learning of new skills and the development of good habits – often so much so that you can learn a skill or develop a habit in just half the time it takes the average person, so go for it!

By the time you have lived in The Magic Cloak for thirty days, you will find that it takes less and less deliberation to think, speak and act as your new self. Instead these patterns will start becoming far more automatic.

By the time you have spent sixty days living inside The Magic Cloak, you will probably begin to forget that you are wearing it! This is because as your inner identity (formed by beliefs and thoughts) becomes more in line with the cloak, the cloak itself will begin to disappear!

Eventually The Magic Cloak will not exist. It will melt like a shield of ice in the midday sun. But by that time it will not be missed, for you will actually be the person you deliberately designed yourself to be.

So start now. Put aside the questioning scepticism of your old self and instead put on The Magic Cloak. Not only does ongoing success depend on you doing this but the act is vital if you sincerely want to create good things from the inside out.

When you are ready to use The Magic Cloak which you have designed, go to a quiet place with your cloak design notes. Darken the room and make sure that you will not be disturbed for at least half an hour. Then:

Stand straight and read over your design notes. As you do so, imagine in as much detail as possible the cloak you have created.

Imagine the person you want to become. Imagine how it will feel to be that person. How will you think, talk and act? What bad habits will disappear instantly? What new sense of confidence, enthusiasm and personal power will you experience?

After a few minutes of imagining this is detail, make a conscious decision that you will now ‘step into’ The Magic Cloak and take one step forward.

Project a ‘costume’ of energy over your body by imagining yourself as the person you designed previously. See yourself as being that confident, calm, powerful person. Feel the costume fit snugly around your body.

Now feel yourself inside your new self. Realize that your old self is now nothing more than a memory. Realize that from now on you live the role of your new self as fully as possible.

Remain standing, getting accustomed to your new self for as long as you wish before introducing your new self to others. The more vividly you can make this process of creating for yourself a new identity, the more effective your use of The Magic Cloak will be.

The First 30 Days

From the moment you step into your Magic Cloak you begin changing your reality from the inside out, but you may have to spend much of the first 30 days or so ‘living deliberately’. This simply means that rather than thinking, talking and acting automatically, you may need to pause for a few seconds and actually choose what to think, say and do in specific situations.

To help you do this, here are three questions you should ask yourself at every given moment:

How should I think now that I am living this new role?

How should I speak now that I am living this new role?

How should I act now that I am living this new role?

If you do this properly, you will soon find that your whole life changes quite dramatically. Your bad habits will be broken immediately simply because they do not belong to the new person you have become. Your disempowering beliefs, thoughts and actions will be immediately replaced with more empowering ones.

In this third article of my Magic Cloak series we continue the design of the magick cloak, as follows:

Imagine that you are an actor and that you wish to play the role of yourself in your ideal reality. To assist your performance, write down the answers to the following questions as fully as you can:

What should you wear? Business attire? Casual attire?

How should you walk? Confidently? Slowly? Enthusiastically?

How should you talk? Quickly? Slowly? Confidently? Precisely?

What should you spend your time thinking about? Problems? Opportunities? Everything that can go wrong? Or right? International flight schedules? Share prices? Business ideas?

When do you get up in the morning? Early? Or late? At what time?

When do you go to bed at night? State the time.

How do you deal with problems? Do they scare you? Do you scare them?

How do you treat people? Your spouse or lover? Your children? Your parents? Your neighbours?

What do you do in your spare time? Watch television? Study? Read books? Dine out? Go to parties? Enjoy hobbies? Which hobbies?

What good habits do you have? Exercising regularly? Ensuring you look good at all times? Sticking to a healthy diet? Thinking positively? Being organised? Managing your time effectively? Being persistent?

What bad habits do you avoid? Smoking? Drinking? Negative thinking? Worrying? Passing the buck? Quitting?

What is your physique like? In good shape? In poor shape? How do you keep your physique the way it is?

How do you feel? Confident? Energetic? Happy? Positive? Kind? Caring? Passionate?

What are you skilled at? Playing a musical instrument? Analysing stock prices? Speaking a foreign language? Making money?

Who do you rely on most? Others? Yourself?

How do you tackle life? By reacting to things as they happen? Or by making things happen?

How do you sit? By slouching? With your back straight?

How do you deal with stress? By getting angry? By crying? By rising above the situation? By meditating? By exercising?

What else do you need to know in order to perform this role well?

What are the answers to these additional questions?

Spend as much time as you need to get all of the answers to these questions down on paper. By the time you finish, you will have designed your Magic Cloak in as much detail as possible.

Now you are ready to put on your Magic Cloak and start transforming your life from the inside out, and I will explain how to do that in my next article.

The first step to designing your own tailor-made Magic Cloak is to decide what your ideal life would be like in as much detail as possible. Take a pencil and a notepad and seriously consider the following eight aspects of your ideal life:

Your Personality
What kind of person do you want to be? Confident? Optimistic? Cheerful? Kind? Passionate? Whatever it is, define it and get it down in your note-pad under the heading ‘Personality’.

Your Skills
What kind of skills do you want to have? The ability to play a musical instrument? Speak a foreign language? Repair motor cars? Write books? Again, note it down – this time under the heading of ‘Skills’.

Your Relationships
What kind of relationships do you want in your new life? Solid friendships? Casual friendships? Both? A lover? A spouse? What do your friends look like? What kind of personality does your lover or spouse have? Be as specific as possible and write your answers down under the appropriate heading.

Your Spirituality
Where would you like to be spiritually? Would you like to be able to experience altered states of awareness? Join a monastery or convent? Take a pilgrimage? Develop your intuition? Write your answers down.

Your Hobbies
What hobbies do you see yourself as having in your new life? Would you like to exercise regularly? Belong to a club or society? Go mountaineering or hiking? Learn to paint or draw? By now you know that your answers are to be noted in your pad.

Your Habits
What habits do you currently have which do not belong in your future life? Smoking? Drinking alcohol? Getting stressed in your car? Write your answers down in your pad, but note that these are habits which do not belong in your future life and are recorded for reference only.

Your Career & Finances
What is your ideal career? What do you do? Are you self-employed or do you work for someone else? How much abundance do you enjoy? What other forms of income do you have? How much money do you have in the bank?

Your Image
How do you look in your new life? What kind of clothes do you wear? What kind of car do you drive? Where do you live? What does your home look like? What kind of watch do you wear? What does your hair look like? What shape is your body in?

When you have answered the questions for all eight aspects of your new life, review what you have written. As you read, imagine seeing this ‘new you’ in your mind’s eye. Imagine living the life you have just designed.  Is there anything you would like to change, add or take away? If so, change, add or take away now whilst your design is only on paper.

Even though designing your life is a serious exercise, you can and should have a lot of fun whilst doing it. Imagine your new life in detail. Imagine the sights, sounds, smells, sounds and textures of this new reality. Explore the possibilities, be sure to remember that there are no limits and in the next article we will continue the Magic Cloak process…

The Magic Cloak is a wonderful device which can help you to transform almost any aspect of your life in an instant. It may take you a little time to understand the concept and how it works, but study this series carefully, follow through on the techniques presented and you will soon master one of the greatest transformational tools available.

Think of a time when you felt the need to put on a ‘mask’ for a certain occasion. Perhaps you have had to deliberately present a certain image at an important meeting or interview by temporarily ‘acting’ like a different person. Perhaps you have felt compelled to ‘act’ in a confident manner when you were actually nervous, or to ‘act’ enthusiastic when you were actually quite lethargic.

Such ‘masks’ can be of help in the short term, but as soon as we get back to a place when we can take off the mask and be ourselves, most of the confidence or enthusiasm we feel disappears with it.

The Magic Cloak is similar to the ‘masks’ that we all wear from time to time, but with several vital distinctions:

- The Magic Cloak is more powerful than any ‘mask’ because it affects us just as much as it does other people and the world around us.

- If we wear The Magic Cloak long enough, our inner identity, personality, abilities and reality will actually change so that they are congruent with the external cloak. In other words, the cloak enables us to transform ourselves into the kind of people we truly want to be.

- The Magic Cloak is deliberately and thoughtfully designed, not just cast on quickly when the need arises.

Say for example that you want to be a wealthy entrepreneur. By using the techniques which are presented in this series you will actually be able to design your own Magic Cloak which will enable you to not only think, look and act like a wealthy entrepreneur, but to also become that person.

Or maybe you want to quit biting your nails and develop the body of your dreams. Using the same techniques you can design your own Magic Cloak which will enable you to achieve the physique you want and eliminate the nail-biting habit with amazing speed.

I realise that this sounds incredible – and it is! However, you will only truly understand the phenomenal power of The Magic Cloak technique when you use it, so let us close this theoretical discussion and in the next article we will go on to the practicalities of how you can design and use a Magic Cloak in your own life.

The Art & Science of Magickal Creation is one of the best texts you could possibly read if you are serious about creating your reality in a deliberate and personal way. With the kind permission of the author, Daniel Keaton, I am now able to present a short extract from the beginning of the very first Neophyte I Level (there are six levels of study in the package, as well as some incredible bonus materials). Enjoy…

Magick Defined

When spoken aloud, the words magic and magick (with a k) sound identical, yet their meanings are far from interchangeable.  Magic is the art of conjuring for the purposes of entertainment – pulling rabbits out of hats, making white doves disappear and so on.  All of this is achieved through optical illusion, sleight of hand and showmanship.

Magick, on the other hand, has nothing to do with conjuring or entertainment.  It is, in many respects, the real thing.  In other words, whereas magic gives the illusion of bringing about changes in reality, magick really does bring about changes.  Magick can therefore be defined as the Art & Science of bringing about genuine change in a universe through Intention and Will.

I call magick an Art because it is supremely flexible and can be used a wide variety of situations to achieve an even wider variety of outcomes.  The more creative you are, the more ways you will find to apply this Art in your life.

At the same time, magick is a Science because it is supremely reliable.  Just as you can be confident that 2 + 2 will always equal 4 no matter when you decide to test the theory, so you can just as confidently assume that magick will always work when it is done properly.  Unfortunately, there are far fewer people who know how to do magick properly than there are those who know how to count.  But that is by the by.

Magickal Mechanics

If magick can be defined as the Art and Science of bringing about genuine change in a universe through Intention and Will, then how exactly does it work?  Well, in order to understand this you first have to consider how the physical universe as a whole operates.  In other words, we need to talk about physical mechanics and what I like to refer to as magickal mechanics.

We are all taught about physical mechanics in school, and we learned that all matter in this physical universe can be classified as being a solid, a liquid or a gas.  To illustrate this, most school pupils are (or at least they were when I was one!) given a block of ice in a metal bowl.  The ice is, of course, a solid object.  When the ice gets warm, it melts into the bowl, thus becoming a liquid.  When the metal bowl is heated sufficiently, the water boils and evaporated, becoming a gas.

We also learned about cause and effect at school.  In brief, we were all taught that if you want to bring about an effect, you need to set in motion a preceding cause.  So, in order to make a ball roll (the effect) you first need to push that ball (the cause).

In magickal mechanics, we agree with all of the above, but with certain distinctions.  To begin with, we recognise just one state of matter – energy.  Magickians have maintained for thousands of years that everything here consists of pure energy, and regardless of whether a thing is manifested in solid, liquid or gaseous form, the thing itself is really just energy when all is said and done.  Today’s physicists are at last beginning to confirm this longstanding belief .

A second distinction concerns cause and effect.  We agree that every effect must be preceded with a suitable cause, but we maintain that the Will and Intention of an individual can often set magickal causes in motion that are just as – if not more – effective than physical causes alone.

Again, modern physicists are beginning to confirm the accuracy of this belief, and recent studies into prayer and intention under laboratory conditions have resulted in some very convincing evidence which supports it.

Put all of this together and you can arrive at a fairly good understanding of Magickal Mechanics.  If you have something that you want to change in your life, you don’t have to do things the hard way by running around setting lots of physical causes in motion.  Instead, you can use the principles of magick to harness your inner power and set energy causes in motion.  And since energy is the basic building block of the physical universe, results gained through the employment of magickal mechanics can often be dramatically more effective than using physical mechanics alone.
