Many students of metaphysical systems tend to waste their precious time on earth because they constantly look to the future and never take time to ‘smell the roses’ which are already around them. This is sad, because the journey towards metaphysical mastery is almost as fulfilling as the destination itself.
By taking time to enjoy the things you already have in your life, you will find it even easier to detach yourself from any emotional turmoil that may exist. This will, in turn, make manifesting your desires a more automatic process.
Enjoying what you already have means living life to the full. Some people may argue that they do not have a great deal, hence their desire for financial abundance. We would argue on that point.
It really is true that some of the best things in life are free and are available to anyone regardless of income. How often do you take time to savour the visual delights of a beautiful sunrise? How often do you take advantage of the wealth of literature available at your local library? How often do you listen to exclusive concerts broadcast on the radio – concerts which would cost tens, perhaps hundreds of pounds to visit in person? How often do you take a walk in the countryside?
You see, you really do live in a world of wonderful abundance, but too many people concentrate on financial abundance to the exclusion of all else that they do not take advantage of what they already have all around them.
This seventh principle of enjoying what you already have can truly revolutionise your whole view of life. No longer need you feel miserable whilst you are waiting for your wealth to manifest itself. Now you can spend the manifestation ‘waiting period’ smelling the roses, enjoying the morning sunrise and generally appreciating the fact that you have the one thing that is most priceless of all – the privilege of being alive right here on the earth plane.
Make a point of spending at least half an hour each day enjoying what you already have. That way, when abundance becomes commonplace you will truly appreciate it and will not – like many others do – take your ability to create good things for granted.

The seven principles we have discussed are in this series are extremely deceptive. When examined individually, as we have done, they seem as simple as can be. The fact is that they are simple, but don’t let their simplicity lead you to believe that they don’t work.

Wealth Creation Principle #6 – Create Magnetic Icons
Magnetic Icons are symbols of desires which you want to manifest in your life. They are placed in a prominent area so that you can see them as you go about your everyday business and help to generate subconscious thought-forms, in much the same way as a talisman of wealth does.
Before you can create your magnetic icons, you first need to decide specifically what it is you want to manifest. For this purpose, money alone is not specific enough. You must ask yourself what it is you want to do with your wealth and abundance, and then create a magnetic icon which is symbolic of that desire.
For example, if you want to buy a new car, decide what type of car it is that you want, and what colour. If you want a new home, decide whether you want a home in the country or in the city, and how large you want it to be.
Once you have a specific desire, you can create a magnetic icon which encapsulates it symbolically. The best way to do this is to obtain a picture of what you desire from a brochure or magazine, cut it out and then proceed as follows:
• Place the picture on the palm of your right hand.
• Close your eyes and relax completely.
• Imagine that your right hand is beginning to glow with bright yellow energy, and that the picture is absorbing this energy. Again, do not be surprised if your hand seems to tingle when you do this, but do not be concerned if it doesn’t.
• With your eyes still closed, say the following phrase out loud:
This picture symbolises what will be manifested in my life.
I charge it with spiritual power and declare it
to be a magnetic icon of my desire.
Now place your left hand over your right hand so that the picture is enclosed and imagine that the glowing stops. The picture is now charged as a magnetic icon.
You should have no more than seven magnetic icons in use at any one time. We suggest that you mount your icons on a large piece of card or stiff paper and hang this in a position where you will see it several times each day.
Whenever the icons catch your eye, pause for a second or two and express gratitude to the God-Power within you for the fact that these desires are on their way into your life. The more often you do this, the faster the desire will manifest itself in your life.

Wealth Creation Principle #5 – Detach Yourself
One of the greatest spiritual principles of all is that of detachment. The principle of detachment states that only when you look at life from the God-point-of-view can you truly attract what you need to you quickly and effortlessly.
This presents us with something of a paradox. The natural way of thinking states that in order to get something you have to work hard to achieve it. The spiritual view is that you already have it, so just relax, let go of all worries and have fun whilst you are waiting for it to manifest on the material plane.
The key to detaching yourself as far as money worries are concerned is to look at the big picture of life. Remember that you are alive, and if you are alive, you have not yet fulfilled your life purpose. As as long as you are breathing in and out, all is well. You can smile!
Once you look at life in this way and start enjoying the fact that you are alive, money loses any hold it might otherwise have on your emotions. This means that you are truly detached, and it is whilst you are in this state that wealth will flow into your life almost automatically. Consider how important things always seem to happen only when you have given up on them.
The act of trying too hard to achieve something distorts your emotions, and so your personal energy also becomes distorted, creating a barrier between yourself and what you desire. Detaching yourself emotionally removes this barrier and allows your desire to manifest as quickly as possible.

Wealth Creation Principle #4 – Sow Your Money
Money is useless if it isn’t used. In itself it can do little to improve your life or the lives of those around you. Put it to work, however, and it can multiply many times over. In this sense, money is a seed and must be planted if you want a great harvest.
Just as seed stored in a barn has little potential, so money stashed under a mattress or in a piggy bank has little potential. Sow it, however, and the universal laws of nature will do the rest.
There are several ways of sowing money. The first is to tithe. Tithing means to give a certain percentage (traditionally ten per cent) of your income to your main source of spiritual knowledge.
If you attend a church or religious temple regularly and consider this to be your main source of spiritual knowledge, that is where your tithe should be sown. Otherwise choose the people or institutions which help you to climb the ladder of spiritual evolution. You should give your tithe freely without thinking of what you will get in return, and in doing this you are affirming that you have more than enough already. In other words, you are affirming that you are already experiencing abundance.
As well as tithing, you can sow money by actively investing in your future. You can do this by setting up a dedicated savings account and placing ten per cent of your income into it on a weekly or monthly basis. This money does not sit idle in the account but is used by the bank or building society to help provide other people with mortgages and so on. In return, you will receive interest on all money which you deposit.
Because your money is helping other people to set up a new home or achieve other important objectives, saving regularly is something which has wide-reaching effects as far as abundance is concerned. Because your money is helping others, no matter how small your regular savings deposits are, like will attract like and money will begin coming into your life through indirect routes. As your savings grow, the interest generated will increase, and soon you will have a sum of money which grows automatically.
Sowing money is one of the more difficult principles of The Secret Science of Wealth Creation because it requires an element of faith.
Most people think that giving away ten per cent as a tithe and setting aside a further ten per cent for the future will mean that it will be difficult to live on the remaining eighty per cent. The fact is that everyone we know who has put this principle into practise has experienced a great increase in income so that the eighty per cent they have left is even greater than the one hundred per cent they used to live on!
Because money is merely a symbol of energy, it always works best if it is circulated. What goes around comes around. What you give is what you get. By tithing and lending (by saving with a financial institution) you are putting your money to work and allowing it to help other people. This generates very positive karma as far as finances are concerned and results in more money coming your way than ever before.

Wealth Creation Principle #3 – Create A Wealth Talisman
There is a lot of mumbo-jumbo spoken about talismans, but one should never throw the baby out with the bathwater just because a few over-zealous people get their facts wrong.
The truth is that talismans can have a lot of power, but only when you charge them with spiritual energy yourself. This is because a talisman is a very personal object and what might work wonders for one person may not work for you simply because your personal energies are not compatible.
A talisman is, when all is said and done, a symbol. A wealth talisman is a symbol of wealth and every time you see it you will subconsciously release a thought-form of wealth and prosperity into the surrounding ether. After a few days of emitting such thought-forms you will find that the flow of wealth and abundance into your life gradually gets stronger. After a few weeks the flow will be so established that only a concerted effort will be able to stop your financial situation from improving.
Creating a wealth talisman is a simple process, but not one which should be rushed. You should set aside half an hour and proceed as follows:
• Take a coin and clean it thoroughly. The shinier the coin is, the better.
• Place the coin on the palm of your right hand.
• Close your eyes and relax completely.
• Imagine that your right hand is beginning to glow with bright yellow energy, and that the coin is absorbing this energy. Do not be surprised if your hand seems to tingle when you do this, but do not be concerned if it doesn’t.
• With your eyes still closed, say the following phrase out loud:
This coin symbolises the abundance which is mine.
I charge it with spiritual power and declare it
to be my personal talisman of wealth.
Attract abundance now.
Now close your right hand around the coin and imagine that the glowing stops. The coin is now charged as a talisman of wealth.
Using the talisman is very simple. Just place it in your purse or wallet (ensuring that it will not get mixed with other coins) and leave it there. Whenever you see it, give thanks silently for the wealth and abundance which is already yours. If you wish, you may visualise it glowing from time to time, but this is by no means essential.
Carry the talisman with you for a time and you will soon notice your financial situation improving. The longer you use it and the more faith you have in its ability to store the God-Power within you, the better the results will be.

Wealth Creation Principle #2 – Be Grateful
Believe us when we tell you that this principle has enormous power to change your financial situation around virtually immediately. It is a principle which has been used for millennia, and which no-one who wishes to reach his full potential can afford to ignore. It is the principle which tells you to:
Be grateful for your abundance.
Now many people will say that it is ludicrous to give thanks for something which hasn’t yet manifested on the material plane. From a flesh and blood point of view we would agree. But look at things from the spiritual point of view and you will soon discover that giving thanks is what enables the manifestation to take place.
Let us explain:
You may have already learned that one of the keys to making things happen is to believe that they have already happened. What better way is there to express this belief than to give thanks for what you have asked for? By giving thanks in advance you are proclaiming that you already have what you want, and this way of thinking unleashes tremendous spiritual power.
Consider the multiplication miracles which Jesus of Nazareth performed during his lifetime and you will see this principle being used to excellent effect.
‘Then Jesus took the loaves of bread, thanked God for them and gave them to the people who were sitting there. He did the same with the fish, giving as much as the people wanted. When they had all had enough to eat, Jesus said to his followers, “Gather the leftover pieces of fish and bread so that nothing is wasted.” So they gathered up the pieces and filled twelve baskets with the pieces left from the five barley loaves.’ (John 6:11-13)
This is how Jesus fed over five thousand people with just a few loaves and a few fish – he expressed his gratitude. The gratitude was two-fold. He was giving thanks for what he already had – the few loaves and fish – but he was also giving thanks for the miracle of multiplication which he was about to perform. In his minds eye, the miracle had already taken place, so giving thanks was natural.
To unleash the power of this principle in your own life, you too need to get into the habit of expressing two-fold gratitude. Give thanks for what you already have, and then give thanks that a whole lot more is coming your way. In doing this you are preparing the way for a torrent of wealth and abundance to enter your life.
We suggest that you begin this habit by taking your wallet or purse and opening it. Look at the money inside – even if it is just a few coins – and then express your gratitude to the God-Power within you for providing you with this money. When you have done this, express your gratitude for the fact that even more wealth is winging its way towards you at this very moment – a veritable flood of wealth which can never be stopped.
This is an extremely simple principle to put into place, but it is absolutely and vitally important. The more you express gratitude for what you have and for what is to come, the faster wealth will manifest in your life. Ignore this principle and your lack of gratitude will actually hold back the flood of prosperity which is waiting to arrive in your life. So be grateful!

Wealth Creation Principle #1 – Recognise Abundance
One thing which prevents many people from experiencing wealth and financial abundance is the erroneous belief that money is limited. This is reflected in the words and actions of individuals who have developed what can be described as a ‘scarcity consciousness’. Consider the following phrases which are uttered by millions of people all over the world, every day of the year:
Money doesn’t grow on trees.
I’m not made of money.
Money is too tight to mention.
I can’t afford it.
It’s too expensive.
All of these phrases – and there are hundreds more – reflect the attitude that money is limited in quantity. The fact is that there is no limit to the amount of abundance you can enjoy – starting right now. But in order to begin experiencing abundance in your personal life, you first need to recognise the fact that it is all around you.
Take a look at your neighbourhood and do a rough calculation as to how much money it represents. If you live on a road of ten houses and you figure that each house is worth $200,000, then your road symbolises $2,000,000 in property alone. Then add the incomes of your neighbours together. If the average income is $40,000 per year, that’s an additional $800,000. Now add the estimated value of land, cars and furniture. Pretty soon you will realise that you live on a road worth several million dollars!
This is something which you should really take deep into your spirit. You are already surrounded by abundance. You live in a multi-million dollar neighbourhood!
Of course, being surrounded by abundance and experiencing it first hand are often two different things. You cannot begin to experience it, however, until you deliberately realise that the manifestations of wealth are all around you.
As you already know, the reality you experience on the physical plane begins with your thoughts and attitudes. It should therefore come as no surprise when we tell you that the first key to expressing abundance is to develop a mentality of abundance.
You need to stop speaking any ‘scarcity consciousness’ phrases and start thinking, speaking and acting as if prosperity and wealth are already yours.
By doing this you will lay solid spiritual foundations on which the other six principles of abundance can build.
In order to achieve this abundance mentality, we suggest that you actively ‘re-educate’ your mind with strong affirmations of wealth and prosperity. Set aside five minutes at the beginning of each day and confidently speak each of the following wealth creation phrases out loud.
As you affirm each wealth creation phrase, try to get the emotion that the phrase is already true. Remember, emotion is energy in motion, so the more you believe the phrases you speak, the faster they will begin to work. The phrases you should affirm are:
I LIVE ON A PLANET OF WONDERFUL ABUNDANCE
I AM SURROUNDED BY ABUNDANCE
I AM PROSPEROUS
WEALTH FLOWS INTO MY LIFE AUTOMATICALLY
I WANT FOR NOTHING
MY LIFE IS FILLED WITH GOOD THINGS
If you affirm these phrases every day for at least twenty-one days, you will experience a distinct change in your attitudes towards abundance and subsequently the flow of wealth into your life will increase. This is just the start, however.
