The instant manifestation of desire is an idea that individuals have pursued for as long as the Law of Attraction itself has been recognised, which is several thousand years at the very least. The notion that there is a secret to manifesting any desire into its physical counterpart is, at first glance, an extremely attractive one. After all, who wouldn’t like to think of a million dollars and have it suddenly appear out of thin air? Or who wouldn’t like to desire an end to war and have it manifest just as quickly?
We know that the Law of Attraction works, and that desires can and do manifest themselves as physical reality, so why does the process usually take anything from a few hours to several years? And why, after thousands of years of study, has nobody managed to identify the elusive secret that would result in the instant manifestation of desire?
The most reasonable answer to me is that time itself acts as a kind of safety buffer between the moment of desire and the eventual manifestation of that desire. Such a safety buffer is necessary because all of us at some point desire things that are not good for ourselves or others. In a moment of embarrassment we might desire ‘to disappear into a hole’. In a moment of emotional upset we might desire something even more negative for ourselves or another person.
Clearly, if these irrational desires were allowed to manifest instantly, our lives would quickly descend into chaos. It could therefore be argued that having a gap of time between desire and manifestation is a perfectly good safety mechanism, and it could also be inferred that the more dramatic the desire, the longer it will take for that desire to be made manifest. Understanding this safety buffer concept is helpful because it enables us to be more patient when we are seeking to create good things in our lives, and prevents us from becoming frustrated when things don’t manifest as quickly as we would like.
Whatever desire we hold consistently is one that will manifest itself as physical reality in the future. If you focus on abundance at one moment and on poverty the next, your lack of consistency – in tandem with the safety buffer – will mean that no change in your circumstances are likely to be forthcoming. Your aim should therefore be to hold your positive desires consistently day after day, week after week, until the necessary safety buffer of time has passed and the universe allows that desire to manifest itself in your life. And of course, if you happen to have a single negative desire at any given moment, you won’t have to worry about that negative desire manifesting as reality.
Viewing the situation in these terms makes much more sense than pursuing a way to manifest your desire instantly. Instead, acknowledge that manifestation takes time and that there is probably a very good reason for that, then hold onto your positive desires and know that, when the time is right, it will surely be made manifest.
