‘Everything looked hopeless from a purely physical point of view. The doctors had done all they could, having tried every treatment and drug available. That’s when they told me to live life to the full, because I’d only got six months left. But then the cancer suddenly went into remission, and I’ve been living life to the full for ten years now…’

‘Financially, that was the last straw. I was forced to declare myself bankrupt. We lost the home we’d loved for fifteen years, and even our car and furniture were repossessed. That’s when I had the dream about the Lotto numbers. When I woke up from that dream I said to my wife, ‘You know, this sounds crazy, but I think I’m going to win the Lotto.’ That day I bought a ticket using the numbers I’d dreamed. Less than twenty four hours later life had done a total U-turn and I’d become a millionaire. It was incredible. I still have to pinch myself sometimes.’

‘The last thing I remember was the plane going down. I just closed my eyes and said, ‘God, not this. I’ve got too much living to do yet. I’ve got a wife and kids. Don’t let it all end like this.’ Then I opened my eyes in an intensive care ward two days later. I was in pretty bad shape, but to be honest, I really didn’t give two hoots about that. It was just awesome to still be alive!’

A spontaneous healing. A financial breakthrough. A remarkable deliverance from certain death. Stories like these are much more common than you might think. But are such stories a testament to miracles, or are they merely examples of nothing more than coincidence?

How a person answers this question will depend on his view of the universe that we live in. If he is of the opinion that we humans are mere flesh and blood creatures, that the universe is one incredible accident and that there is no higher power then such stories would be referred to as coincidences. If however, he believes that human beings are more than flesh and blood, that the universe has a purpose and that there is a higher power behind that purpose, the stories above would probably be referred to as miracles.

The difference between a ‘miracle’ and a ‘coincidence’ is therefore one of perspective. A person who believes in miracles will see these stories as examples of miracles. A person who believes only in coincidence will see them as just that – coincidences.

As far as we are concerned, there is little to be gained by trying to prove or disprove either point of view. Besides, doing so would be impossible. If there is one thing of which we are absolutely certain, it is that whatever you call them, these ‘miracles’ or ‘coincidences’ happen all over the globe, to regular people just like you and me. Of course, we view such stories as examples of the miraculous, and as you have decided to study The Seven Dollar Miracle for yourself we are assuming that you do too.

Our definition of the word miracle is, ‘Any event which is influenced, changed or manifested by divine power.’ This definition covers a multitude of events, and so it can be said that miracles come in all shapes and sizes. There are major miracles, such as the ones we related at the beginning of this tutorial, and there are minor miracles, such as finding a parking space on a busy Saturday afternoon. And, of course, there are plenty of miracles in-between. Miracles of prosperity, healing, success, love, joy and happiness.

As far as most of us are concerned, the question we really want answered is not, ‘Do miracles take place?’ but, ‘How do miracles take place, and what can I do to deliberately create miracles in my own life?’ This is the question which we intend to answer over the course of this book. Not simply by imposing our own explanations and expecting you to accept them automatically, but by leading you on your own journey along the path of discovery which helped us to formulate those explanations.

Throughout history there have been a elite group of people who not only experienced miracles, but who could actually create them in their lives and in the lives of those around them. The prime example is Jesus of Nazareth, but there were also hundreds of lesser-known monks, fakirs, yogis and other spiritual adepts who displayed the same miracle-working ability. This is all very impressive, but even more startling is the fact that the vast majority of miracle-workers denied that they had any special gifts or talents. Quite the opposite, in fact. The majority of ancient texts claimed that anyone could create miracles!

This is a breath-taking discovery for anyone to make, but it usually followed by an obvious question: If we do have the potential to create miracles in our lives, how can we tap into that potential?

The Seven Dollar Miracle answers that important question. In this book you will discover the techniques and strategies of the most powerful miracle-workers in history. Many of these were given ‘in code’ by the ancient ‘Miracle Masters’. Jesus of Nazareth gave his most potent ‘how-to’ advice in the form of parables. King Solomon shared his secrets of miraculous prosperity and success through dozens of clever proverbs. And so it is with the many other enlightened masters whose writings we have had the great pleasure of studying in depth.

By applying the techniques and strategies of The Seven Dollar Miracle to your own life you will discover that you have power to enjoy prosperity and success in your career. You can enjoy physical energy, vitality and emotional health and happiness. You can have wonderful relationships with your family and friends. You can also have the incredible knowledge that you can create anything else you want to experience on a day to day basis simply by using the principles contained in this book.

Before we proceed any further, pause for a few minutes and ask yourself what it is that you want from The Seven Dollar Miracle. As we have just said, you will of course gain many things, but what one thing drew you to The Seven Dollar Miracle more than anything else? Was it a desire for a healthier body or mind? Was it the desire for more financial prosperity or career success? Was it the desire to conquer a specific problem which you are facing? Or was it simply the desire to increase your spiritual knowledge and ability?

Whatever your reasons were for studying this book, let us say right now that the power to create miracles is already within you. Do not think, as you read, that you need something special to make your life work. You don’t. You already have all the spiritual power that you are ever going to get. All you need is the ability to use that power effectively. And that is what The Seven Dollar Miracle is all about.
