The Colour of Magick

Colour is something that most people don’t tend to think about very much, but that is unfortunate because colour can be incredibly helpful to those of us who work with the Law of Attraction to bring about change in our lives. From the moment we were born into this world we have all developed strong ideas about what different colours represent. For example, many people associate red with danger or passion, which could be viewed as two sides of the same coin. Similarly, the colour green is often associated with wealth and natural growth.

Of course, not everyone shares exactly the same associations with different colours, but here in the West we have traditionally associated certain colours with certain qualities. Browse through the following list and see if any of these associations feel appropriate to you:

Red = Danger, Passion and Confidence
Pink = Love or Romance
Purple = Royalty, Being in Control
Yellow = Optimism
Blue = Peace of Mind, Clarity, Tranquillity
White = Purity
Green = Prosperity, Abundance

If you associate any of these colours with a different quality than we have listed then that is perfectly fine – simply jot down what the colours mean to you and use that list as your own personal reference.

Having defined what qualities you tend to associate with various colours, think about what you are currently working towards with the Law of Attraction. You can then use your personal associations to help you bring about change in your life deliberately, and all you have to do is make a point of introducing more of the colour that you associate with what you are working towards with the Law of Attraction.

For example, a woman who wants to bring more passion into her life might do well to start wearing more red, and she could do that by wearing red lip gloss, red lingerie or a pendant which features a red gemstone. Similarly, a businessman who wants to achieve a greater level of profitability in his endeavours might fare better if he started wearing a green neck tie or introduced a few green plants into his office.

By putting such colours in place your subconscious mind will automatically start focusing on the quality that you want to attract into your life when your eyes fall upon them, even as your conscious mind focuses on other day to day matters. Of course, we don’t expect you to simply take our word for this, so try experimenting with the magickal properties of colour in your own life and see what happens!

Instant Manifestation with the Law of Attraction

The goal of achieving instant manifestation with the Law of Attraction is one that many people share, but developing the ability to manifest intentions ‘on demand’ could be downright dangerous. And why is that? Well, the Law of Attraction states that we attract what we focus on, but not all of us focus on positive things all of the time, and if manifestation occurred instantly we could all be in big trouble. Consider the number of airline passengers who have a fear of flying and spend the whole journey focusing on what could go wrong – if the Law of Attraction manifested their thoughts immediately then several hundred passengers could suffer as a result!

In our Seven Dollar Miracle e-book we explain the situation like this:

Imagine what would happen if the Matrix responded automatically and instantly to the energy you broadcast throughout the day. For sure, you could enjoy a financial miracle and manifest a million dollars in a matter of seconds simply by desiring that to come to pass. And yes, you could merely think about having a Ferrari and then open your eyes and find the latest model has been manifested in your driveway.

But at the same time, such ‘instant’ manifestation could also lead to a world of hurt. If someone annoyed you and you thought a spiteful thought of revenge, that thought would instantly manifest as reality, regardless of whether revenge was your true intention or just a natural human slip of the mind. Similarly, everyone else in the Matrix would be able to do the same thing. Metaphysically, we would all be treading on eggshells all the time so as to avoid manifesting something disastrous, or having someone else manifest something disastrous against us.

To avoid this potential chaos, the Matrix operates on a kind of time delay basis where the energy you broadcast takes time to become reality. By operating in this way, if you think something foolish or maybe even nasty during the heat of the moment, you have some time to correct yourself by thinking more positive thoughts and thus cancelling the original negative programming.

As you can see, the goal of instant manifestation with the Law of Attraction really isn’t one that any of us would want to achieve if we thought the matter through properly. This fact should encourage you to persist with your Law of Attraction work if you don’t get the results that you are seeking as quickly as you would like. Continue to focus on your intention for long enough to progress through the ‘time delay’ that the universe has in place and manifestation will occur as intended. As the saying goes, all good things come to those who wait!

View Your Life as a Classroom

No matter how much you advance and evolve as a spiritual being, you will never get to a point where you are completely free of problems, challenges and disappointments. The good news is that we are probably not even meant to get to such a stage in this life, and it is far more likely that the problems we encounter exist for a purpose. When you choose to view your life as a classroom you will be a lot more open to learning the lessons that life delivers on a daily basis, and as you learn, the more effectively you will be able to deal with whatever comes your way.

This is not a new concept by any means. The Buddha said that ‘Life is suffering’ and when you consider the fact that problems and disappointments never cease, he was absolutely right. But by learning from our experience, we can transform even ‘negative’ events into ones which foster our growth as human beings. Our suffering therefore becomes a path to personal growth, spiritual evolution and inner peace.

Everyone reading this article has had many different problems and challenges throughout life, and you will all continue to have problems and challenges in the future. So why make things even harder for yourself by trying to escape this fact? Why not instead accept the reality of problems and view your life a classroom which exists to teach you exactly what you need to learn, in exactly the right way and at exactly the right time?

The nature of the problems we encounter in day to day life obviously varies quite widely. On some days your biggest problem might be that you get caught up in traffic or that your internet connection goes down. On other days you may face problems of a more serious kind – the loss of a job, the breakdown of a relationship or even the death of someone close to you. Whatever the nature of the problems you encounter, you can begin to learn from them by pausing to consider the following question:

What can I learn from this?

Your answers to this simple question can be as varied as the problems that are encountered. You might spill juice on your computer keyboard, in which case the lesson is quite obvious – don’t have liquids around electrical equipment that you value. Or you might receive news that someone close to you has died, in which case the lessons can be multiple and much more meaningful – live each day as if it were your last, resolve differences while you can, learn to love more than you fight, and so on.

Whatever answers come to you when you ask the question ‘What can I learn from this?’ be sure to pay attention and heed the lesson presented. Some problems occur repeatedly only because we refuse to learn our lesson the first time round. Viewing your life as a classroom and actively looking for the lesson that is hidden in every problem you encounter will enable you to grow and evolve at a pace that is ideally suited to you.
