Explore Your Past Lives 2
Past life regression is a mental and spiritual exercise, so it is not difficult or dangerous. As long as you are of a sound mind there is no reason why you should not be able to carry out the special exercises given in this series and start exploring the eternal nature of your spirit. You don’t need to spend a fortune undergoing hypnosis or spend hours with a therapist – all you need are the techniques that I will reveal over the next few articles.
It is important to understand that past life regression exercises do not always provide instant miracles. The memories of your previous experiences have, in all likelihood, been locked away in your subconscious for a long, long time. They may therefore take a while to surface and so you should practise the regression exercises on a regular basis for at least a month or two in order to gain the best possible results.
Before you can begin discovering your past experiences, you need to equip yourself with a sturdy notebook and pen. This will ensure that the glimpses you get into your previous existences during the past life regression exercises can be recorded immediately. Just as it is easy to forget about the dreams you had last night, so it is even easier to forget the insights you gain during the exercises. So make sure you take notes as soon as possible after each regression session.
Many people have had numerous past lives, so do not be surprised if, during a regression, some details seem to change without warning. For example, in a regression you may find yourself in a mountainous valley, then turn around and suddenly find yourself in a busy fishing village. This might indicate that you are actually recalling excerpts from two different lives in the same session. There is nothing wrong with this. Just make notes accordingly after the session.
If you feel uncomfortable when performing any regression exercise then please understand that you are free to end it at any time. The exercises contained in this series put you in total control of your own regression, so you can always pause and come back to the exercise at a later date if desired.
Because your Higher Self always has your best interests at heart, you will not be able to remember past life experiences if these will disturb you in any way. Do not fight against this perfectly natural protection – be thankful for it. When the time is right for you to remember an aspect of a previous existence then it will be forthcoming.
Similarly, any aspect of a previous existence which you do recall should be seen as a gift. After noting down the experience, think about what it has to teach you about your current life. More detailed instructions for doing this can be found towards the end of this series.
