Some people would argue that past life regressions are nothing more than flights of fancy – that they are simply daydreams which serve no purpose. Whilst I agree that not all regression experiences may be actual past lives, I feel that all such experiences are messages from the Higher Self and that they can teach us a great many things. The teaching received as you explore your past lives will, of course, vary from person to person, but the value of such teaching is always infinite.
No matter what you experience during a past life regression exercise, you should follow up a short while later by asking yourself the following questions and noting the answers down in your journal…
What can I learn from my experience? What obvious similarities are there between my past life experience and my current physical life? Could problems in my current life be related to the experience that I have just had? If so, how? What am I supposed to learn from such problems? How should I be dealing with them? Did I have any regrets in my past experience? How can I get rid of those regrets in this life? Did I make any mistakes in my past experience? How can I make up for those mistakes in this life? What was the purpose or goal of my past experience? What is the purpose or goal of my current life? How do they differ? How do they fit together?
Obviously, the answers to such questions will not come overnight. As I said previously, the art of past life regression is something that becomes more productive the more you practise it. But as you get into the habit of regularly exploring your previous existences in this manner then you will be giving your Higher Self plenty of good opportunities to teach you many useful things.
You will come to know that you are more than your current life. Your current life is merely a drop in a vast ocean of potentiality, but you – the spiritual being – are infinite and eternal. You are here to learn from your life and to help others learn at the same time. Make the most of this wonderful cosmic opportunity and seize the day.
Learn, love and create good things!
