Step Out of Body IV
The third and final Step Out of Body exercise (and the one that brings this series to a conclusion) is called The Gateway, and it is based on the observation that the universe is much more than the physical world. There are other planes of existence which can only be explored when you separate your consciousness from your physical body. Exploring these planes is something which almost always leads to a state of higher awareness about the universe and your place in it, but be aware that such exploration is never complete. Once you begin to achieve higher states of awareness about the universe and yourself the learning curve goes on for infinity, so be prepared to spend a lifetime exploring and enjoying the process.
The Gateway exercise will help you explore the universe and your place in it, and can be summarised as follows:
Go to a place where you will not be disturbed for at least half an hour. Darken the room and sit comfortably in a chair or on the floor with your back straight.
Now close your eyes and still your mind by simply watching your breathing for a minute or two.
When you are completely relaxed and your mind is still, remind yourself that the real you is not your physical body. Rather, your physical body is a mere shell which you can step out of at will.
With that fact in mind, mentally ‘step out’ of your body by imagining yourself standing up and taking one step in front of your physical body.
Now imagine a swirling gateway of energy in front of you. This gateway is the route to other planes of existence which you are free to explore and enjoy. What you will find on the other side is something you must discover for yourself.
When you are ready to begin your journey of exploration, step into the gateway and pay attention to what you perceive.
Where are you? Is there anyone else here? If so, who? Can you communicate with these entities? If so, introduce yourself. Ask questions. Receive answers. Explore and enjoy.
To bring your consciousness back into your body, simply think of your physical fingers and move them. This will bring you back to full consciousness in your physical body.
The benefits of travelling through The Gateway can only be experienced, not described. On the other side of The Gateway lie the answers to all of life’s questions, for it leads to a place where you can finally discover who you really are, and why. The answers won’t necessarily come immediately, but once you have gone through The Gateway you will learn a little more about yourself and the universe, and because of this you will want to go back – often.
This technique is one which we consider to be invaluable, but you will only know its true value by acting on what you are reading. So decide right now to enter The Gateway as soon as you feel ready, and prepare yourself for the journey of a lifetime.
Step Out of Body III
The second Step Out of Body exercise is called the Mind Probe and it allows you to project your consciousness out of your body and to temporarily ‘step into’ the mind of someone else so that you can see circumstances and topics of conversation from their point of view. Please note that how you use this particular skill is your responsibility. We strongly advise that you use it only to help you understand other people and their perspectives, and not to gather information for any other purpose. That said, here is the Mind Probe technique for you to practice…
Still your mind completely and relax your physical body.
Step out of your physical body and ‘stand’ in front of the person you wish to perceive from for the purpose of this exercise.
Now gently ‘walk into’ that person and familiarise yourself with being inside their physical body. How does it feel? What emotions are you experiencing? What thoughts come to mind?
Try and perceive the world or a specific situation or problem from this person’s point of view. How does it look? How does it make you feel? How could it be better? What would you like to change? What do you really want?
When you have explored this perception as fully as you want to, step out of that body and back into your own. The Mind Probe is complete.
The benefits of this technique are truly amazing, for it can enable you to help yourself by helping other people get what you want. Let us explain with a couple of examples:
Consider a woman who is married to a man who seems to have lost any sense of passion he once had. Instead of getting frustrated or resentful, she could perform a quick Mind Probe and see the situation from his point of view. Doing so, she might see that she herself is not helping the relationship – that she doesn’t take as much care over her appearance as she used to, or that she isn’t as enthusiastic and playful as she used to be. Armed with this information, the woman can then adjust her own behaviour to please her husband and spark off the renewal of passion that she had wanted in the first place.
Or consider a salesman who is meeting a prospective client. By performing a quick Mind Probe the salesman can find out quite effectively what the prospective client is looking for. This will enable him to find the product which would ideally suit the needs of the prospect, thus helping to both close a profitable sale and help the client at the same time.
Obviously there are many more uses to which the Mind Probe can be legitimately put to use, but once again we must stress that any use of such a technique should benefit the person being probed as well as yourself. Using the Mind Probe technique in order to manipulate other people goes entirely against the philosophy of using the Law of Attraction to Create Good Things and is therefore not to be recommended.
Step Out of Body I
We have previously presented a series on the topic of Astral Projection, but this new series entitled Step Out of Body takes a look at the subject from a slightly different angle that some readers might find easier to work with. Enjoy!
“Your consciousness does not live in your body.
You merely believe it does, and so it complies with your belief.”
Where is your consciousness – the thinker of your thoughts, the experiencer of your experiences, the maker of your decisions?
This is a question which few people ever even think to ask themselves. Those who ask it lightly often respond that their consciousness sits a few inches behind their eyes because this appears to be where all their thinking and perceiving is done. But thinking and perception are not activities of the consciousness, they are activities of the human brain.
Consciousness only resides ‘in’ the physical body because you believe it does. It only seems to sit in your head because that is where the biological computer [brain] processes the information it gathers.
Your consciousness is beyond space and also beyond time. It is eternal in nature, infinite in its boundaries and flexible in the way it can be used.
So far it is highly probable that you have spent most of your life with the idea that your consciousness is limited to your physical body. But in this series you will learn that your consciousness can be placed anywhere just by willing it so.
Think of your last vacation. Remember where you went. Where did you stay? Who were you with? What did you do? What was the weather like? What did your environment look like? How did you feel when on vacation? Imagine your last vacation in as much detail as possible.
Now come back and realise that you just sent your consciousness to another place. You sent it back through time to your last vacation, and as you did so your perception of your current surroundings took a back seat.
Of course, your consciousness drew information from your memories to re-locate itself, but the fact of the matter is that temporarily it left your current space-time environment and journeyed somewhere else.
Let’s now try another exercise.
With your eyes either closed or open, try to perceive what is behind you. Imagine that you can turn your consciousness around inside your body and take a look out through the back of your head. What do you see? How does this new perspective feel?
The first couple of times you try this you may perceive little. As you practice it, however, you will find that it becomes easier and easier to perceive what is behind you without actually having to look through your physical eyes. Part of the perception will be drawn from your memory of what is behind you, but gradually a part of the perception will be genuine. As your practice continues, so the genuine part of the perception will increase, with less and less of it being drawn from remembered perceptions.
People who have been trained in something called Remote Viewing are able to project their consciousness at will to any place they desire. This allows them to accurately perceive things which would be impossible to perceive physically. In fact perceptions gained through remote viewing can be so accurate that many governments [including the US] have used teams of specially trained remote viewers [or “RV’s”] to assist them in matters of national interest.
Now some people may wonder what practical use the ability to project consciousness has in daily life. Well, there are many more than you might imagine. Here are just a few of them:
Projecting your consciousness allows you to detach yourself from any situation or environment and view it from a more objective point of view. This enables you to respond less emotionally to life and tackle problems and difficult situations much more effectively.
Projecting your consciousness allows you to perceive what other people are perceiving, thus enabling you to execute an accurate ‘Mind Probe’ and discover their true feelings. This ability is not to be misused, but can help you to see situations from other points of view and, if necessary, change the way you communicate with others.
Projecting your consciousness allows you to explore the concept of the universe and your life from a purely non-physical perspective. This almost always leads to a state of higher awareness and the development of what can only be described as increased spiritual knowledge and capabilities.
Obviously, the ability to ‘step out of yourself’ and perceive things from a vantage point other than from within your physical body is extremely beneficial. We will therefore present you with three separate techniques which, if practised regularly, will enable you to develop this ability to the full and experience the benefits personally. The first such exercise will be presented in the next part of this series…
Meet Your Astral Lover
Would you like to meet your astral lover? An Astral Lover is a being who is summoned (some would say created) on the astral plane solely for the purpose of providing companionship, romance and, if you desire, experiences of a sexual nature.
The technique that will enable you to meet your astral lover and spend time interacting with him or her is as follows:
Begin by preparing yourself physically for your meeting by doing whatever seems appropriate to get yourself in a romantic state of mind. Bathe, wear perfume (or cologne) and dress in whatever makes you feel most comfortable. You should also make the room itself more conducive to romance by dimming the lights and playing gentle music quietly in the background.
When you have done all these physical preparations, sit in a comfortable chair or recline on a couch and close your eyes. Create in your mind an ideal romantic setting. For some this might be a high class restaurant. For others it might be a large suite in a luxurious hotel. Whatever setting you choose, spend some time using your creative visualization skills to imagine it in as much detail as possible, paying equal attention to sights, sounds, aromas, textures and so on.
Now mentally invite your astral lover to come and visit you. Almost immediately someone will arrive. Look at this person, at their hair, eyes, physical body and so on, and you will find that your astral lover is immensely pleasing to you. Then introduce yourself to your astral lover and spend a while getting to know each other.
From here, you should enjoy time with your lover as you see fit. Enjoy a meal, go for a walk, sit and talk over a bottle of wine or engage in whatever other activity you would like to experience. As an adult, you are quite able to decide the kind of relationship you want to establish with your astral lover, so be true to yourself and remember that this technique is for your own personal joy and benefit.
When you wish to bring the exercise to a conclusion, kiss your lover goodbye and leave the setting that you have created. Then focus your attention on your physical body in its current physical location.
Many people feel awkward when using this technique for the first time, but soon the relationship which a person builds with their astral lover becomes almost as meaningful as any they might enjoy with a physical being. Often, the bonds between the individual and the astral lover become so strong that the lover will visit them in their dreams without invitation. When this happens the relationship progresses to an even deeper and more meaningful level.
