There are three keys to working miracles in your life. Understand these three keys and you can begin to unlock your true potential as a spiritual being. The three keys to working miracles in your life are as follows:

1 – Recognise Your True Identity

You are not merely a human being, but a spiritual being. And you are not merely a spiritual being, but an aspect of what many traditions call God. Yes, when all is said and done our position is that you are God!

This understanding is an essential key to working miracles in your life, but it is one which many people have a problem with. This is because few people truly understand the nature of God, and so claiming to be God is seen as something blasphemous.

Contrary to popular opinion, God is not a cosmic Santa Claus who sits on a giant throne making a note of whether you are naughty or nice. God is the energy which makes all things possible.

Everything in this universe, be it a human being, a rock on the sea shore or a television set, is made up of molecules. Break these molecules down to their smallest components and all you have is pure energy. This is a scientific fact which any quantum physicist would be happy to confirm.

This means that, in effect, all that exists is energy. And since this energy is God, all things are God. Some items, such as a rock on the sea shore, are less conscious of their nature than others, but all things exist thanks to the energy which is God.

Saying that you are God does not, therefore, set you above everyone else and make you bent on achieving global domination. All it does is help you remember that everything in the universe is God, and that you, being a part of the universe, are God as well.

The seat you are sitting on is God. This screen you are looking at is God.  The hand that rests on your computer mouse is God. You are God. Your goldfish is God. Your next door neighbour (like him or not) is God.

This is why almost all great spiritual leaders urged us to treat everything around us with respect: because everything is a part of the whole called God.

We are all part of the universe – which literally means one song.  We are all musical notes in the one song, and no individual note is less important than the others. We are all God.

2 – Know that Limitations are Illusions

For a long time, people thought that the world was flat.  This was a false limitation which had no basis in reality, but still made people avoid taking long journeys just in case they fell off the horizon! In the same way, many of the limitations you believe in are false and are restricting your life experience.

For example, you may believe that you have no talent to speak of. You would be wrong. Every single human being has at least one talent waiting to be developed, but unless you stop believing in your limitation you will never have enough confidence to try new things and actually find that talent.

In the same way, you may believe that money is scarce. If you believe in this limitation then you will never experience a state of wealth and financial prosperity. The fact is that money is everywhere. Believe that to be so and you will experience it. You will find money in the street. Other people will give you money ‘out of the blue’. A new job will be offered to you. It may manifest itself in any number of ways, but as soon as you believe in abundance, money will go out of its way to get into your hands!

(Note : We will soon be presenting a series of posts on The Secret Science of Wealth Creation, so be sure to subscribe to our RSS feed and stay tuned!)

By consciously affirming that you are God, limitations become silly. God has no limitations, therefore you have no limitations. All you need to do is learn how to start working with your latent God-Power in a deliberate, focused manner. Once you have done that, you will see the limitations in your life for what they are – mere illusions – and the miraculous will become commonplace.

3 – Know that Emotion is God-Power

Emotion is, when all is said and done, Energy in Motion. In other words, emotion is God-Power at work.

Some people let their emotions rule them. They burst into tears at the slightest thing. They feel constantly confused and ‘out of their depth’ in a variety of situations. This discomfort is caused because they are not in control of the power of emotion, but are swept to and fro like a reed in a hurricane.

A few people, however, understand the true power of emotion, and experience miracles on a daily basis. These are people who have learned to control the hurricane and actually use it to help them achieve their goals.

If a person deliberately develops the emotion of being rich, he will begin to think, talk and act like he is rich. He will know on an intuitive level that he is already rich. The end result is that he will become rich.

If a person deliberately develops the emotions of being happy, he will begin to think, talk and act like he is happy. He will therefore begin to experience happiness automatically.

Emotion is an awesome power which, when handled properly as we will explain in future posts, is absolutely unstoppable. It is something which can guarantee you the life of your dreams.

Applying The Three Keys

1 – Let the fact that you are God sink deep into your consciousness. Look at everything around you and realise that everything is just energy. How does this way of looking at the world make you feel?

2 – Be aware of any limitations you believe in, then set about getting rid of them. As a spiritual being nothing is impossible for you! Nothing! Once you realise this and accept it, you are ready to start working some real miracles!

3 – Start to use your emotions deliberately. If you are depressed, start developing the emotion of happiness. If you are financially lacking, start developing the emotion of being wealthy. If you feel tense or worried, start developing the emotion of being happy and joyful.

If you have studied the law of attraction or metaphysical techniques in the past then you may already realise that the human imagination is the bridge between the world of the seen and the unseen.  It is the imaginative faculty which enables us to go beyond the material plane of existence and begin to explore the worlds within us.  This is why dreams, visions and visualisations – all products of the imaginative faculty – feature so prominently in the teachings of all truly knowledgeable adepts, from the Buddha and Jesus to modern-day teachers such as Deepak Chopra, Daniel Keaton, Stuart Wilde, and others like them.

The techniques presented in this series therefore utilise the imaginative facility which you already possess.  It is important to realise that even if you are not able to visualise (imagine a picture in your head) you can still use your imagination in other ways.  You can imagine the smell of roses as you walk through the garden of your soul.  You can imagine the feel of the cool wet grass underneath your bare feet.  You can imagine the sound of the waterfall in the background.  Of course, if you are able to imagine visually then your inner walk will be enhanced with pictures, but this is by no means essential.

Here then, is a technique which all of you can use to come into contact with your inner guide, whether you can visualise or not.  Study it thoroughly and you should be successful to at least some extent the very first time you use it.

Meeting Your Inner Guide

The first step to meeting your inner guide is to become as relaxed and comfortable as possible.  Sit in a chair and close your eyes.  Take several deep breaths and then deliberately relax every part of your body.  Start with your feet and then work your way up slowly to the crown of your head.  Make sure that you relax your facial muscles as fully as possible.  If your head lolls forward a little then don’t worry – this just means that you are relaxed fully.

Now imagine that you are walking through a beautiful inner garden.  Hear birds singing in the foreground and a waterfall in the background.  Breath in the invigorating air, and feel it purifying you both inside and out.  Feel the warm rays of the sun shine against your body.  Smell the scent of your favourite flowers.  Spend several minutes enjoying the tranquillity and serenity of this garden.

Sit down on the grass in the garden of your soul and invite your inner guide to come to visit with you.  Ask your guide to come in a form which you will find comfortable and pleasing.

Now wait.  Listen for your guide approaching.  Hear your guide slowly walk towards you from the far end of the garden.  Imagine that your inner guide sits down in front of you.  If you can visualise then you may wish to note what your guide looks like, but this is by no means essential.

At this point you can ask your guide’s name.  Wait for an answer.  This will usually just pop into your consciousness.  Thank your guide for accepting your invitation and say that you would like to sit and talk for a while.  Hear your guide’s response to this.

Spend as long as you wish talking with your inner guide.  Ask a question and then wait for an answer.  Often the answer, like the name of your guide, will just pop into your consciousness.  The voice of your guide may sound like your own voice, or it may sound totally different.  Just accept the voice and the words it carries.  Ask more questions.  Talk about anything that is troubling you and ask for possible solutions.  Talk about your life and ask for comments from your guide.

When you are ready to leave the garden of your soul, thank your guide for this precious time and stand up.  Walk back out of the garden the way you came and then open your eyes.

This first encounter with your guide can be incredibly special, but some people may doubt its validity.  You may wonder if the encounter was merely a product of your imagination.  The answer to this is that it was and it wasn’t.  You used your imagination to create the garden of your soul and meet with your guide, but your conversation with your guide was impromptu.  Indeed, the answers your guide gave you may not have made you feel comfortable.  Your guide may have told you to get yourself together, to forgive someone you hold a grudge against, or to do something which you wouldn’t ordinarily think of doing.

We have established that we live in a conscious universe.  We have also said that if we learn to operate in accordance with its natural laws, our lives would be a great deal simpler and a lot more successful.  That being the case, why do so many people live as if they are all alone and have to do everything for themselves?

I believe it’s because few individuals are prepared to accept the truth of the conscious universe on “blind faith”. If the conscious universe were provable in a scientific sense, most people would embrace the facts quite happily.  But because no such scientific proof yet exists that everything is connected and organised by an intelligent matrix of energy (although the field of quantum physics is getting ever closer to proving this) they choose to act as if practical spirituality is a myth.

The good news is that, whilst the conscious universe cannot be proven scientifically at this time, we can all prove it personally to ourselves.  We don’t need to adopt an attitude of “blind faith” either.  All we need to do is have is an open mind and take part in a simple 30 day experiment.

The 30 Day Experiment

Just imagine how your life would be if you really knew – beyond a shadow of a doubt – that the universe is on your side and ready to help you transform your life dramatically for the better.

Take a few moments to consider this fully.  If you genuinely had that special “knowing” inside that the universe wants you to be prosperous, healthy, calm, successful and joyous; and that the universe would actually help you to experience all of these things… wouldn’t your life be much brighter?

The aim of The 30 Day Experiment is to help you reach a place where this knowing becomes real in your experience.  Follow the instructions that are provided in a few moments and over the course of the next month, you will have all the “proof” you need that the universe is not only looking out for you, but that you can experience a great deal more joy and happiness than you ever imagined if you begin working with it deliberately.

The instructions for The 30 Day Experiment are simple to follow, but remarkably productive:

· For the next 30 days, every time you catch yourself worrying about a current situation or a future possibility, take a moment to hand the matter over to the conscious universe. Specify exactly what you are concerned about, then ask the universe to take care of the situation on your behalf for the good of all who are involved.  When you have done this, let go of the concern and watch as the issues gradually begin to resolve themselves – as if by magic.

· For the next 30 days, every time you genuinely need something, specify exactly what is needed and ask the universe to provide it.  Then say thank you, because your request is already being manifested.

· For the next 30 days, remind yourself that the way you speak to, think about and treat others is the way that you yourself will come to be spoken to, thought about and treated.  Deliberately “put out” positive, generous and loving energy… then watch with wonder as the conscious universe reflects the same things right back into your own life.

If you diligently carry out the three simple instructions which I have just provided, you will find that your life begins to benefit from a whole series of happy “coincidences”.  These are not in fact coincidences, but events which the conscious universe deliberately orchestrates to provide you with personal proof that you are not alone.

In addition to the three core concepts we discussed in the previous post (see The Conscious Universe), there are also several “natural laws” which govern the way the universe works. These include:

The Law of One
In the realm of physicality, the human race appears to be made up of separate individuals. Whilst it is true that we all have unique personalities, opinions and so on, from a spiritual perspective we are all one. Think of individual people (and animals too) as being different facets of a single, glorious diamond and you will go a long way towards comprehending this.

It is because of this Law that the world’s greatest teachers have advised us to love others as ourselves – because we are, on a deeper level – very much connected to each other.

The Law of Cause and Effect
We sometimes like to believe that we can think, say and do things without it affecting anyone or anything. This is not true. Every cause has an associated effect, and whatever we “put out” into the universe will come back to us many times over. This is good news if we routinely think positive thoughts, speak encouraging words and perform helpful, loving deeds. But if we are negative in thought, word and deed then all of that negativity will come back into our lives one way or the other. We reap what we sow – always.

The Law of Sustained Focus
Whatever you focus on regularly will expand in your life. If you focus on all the good things that you have with a sense of gratitude then you will soon have even more good things to be thankful for. If you worry or think constantly about all the things that you don’t have, then you will just as surely have even greater lack.

The more sustained your focus, the more powerful this Law seems to be. This is not good news if you tend to think negatively, because you will only end up manifesting even more things to be negative about. However, this Law provides tremendous potential, because the more we deliberately focus on good things, the more good we will experience in life. By developing our ability to focus clearly, we will begin to enjoy something called, “the miracle-power of doubtless faith”. We will of course talk more specifically about this in a future post.

The Law of  Detachment
This is a tricky law to understand, because it seems so paradoxical,  but basically it can be said that the less attached we are to getting something, the faster we will attract it into our lives.

It is because so few people understand this law that they fail to get results even from sound metaphysical techniques and principles. They want results so desperately that they actually drive what they want away from them. If these people would only learn to detach themselves from their desire, what they want would show up a great deal faster. Again, we will discuss this fully in the future.

The Concepts and Laws that we have outlined here are not comprehensive. There are many other “lesser” truths which are just as useful to know and understand.

Our aim in these first two posts has simply been to provide the necessary groundwork so that we can go on to discuss these things in more detail in the future.

Until then, take a little longer to ponder over the material just presented. It may well be that your understanding of “why things happen the way they do” is already becoming much clearer.

The universe as we know it goes far beyond the laws of physics. In fact it could be said that the physical universe is just the tip of the iceberg. Behind the atoms, protons and electrons of physical energy and matter there is a much more subtle spiritual force. Yet despite its subtlety, it is awesomely powerful.

This spiritual force has been given many names. Some traditions have personalised it and called it God, the Father and the Almighty. Others refer to it as Infinite Intelligence, the Creative Force and the Conscious Universe. And of course, there are many other labels which are used the world over.

It doesn’t matter what we call the spiritual force (although we will call it the Conscious Universe simply for ease of reading). What matters is that we recognise and work with it. If we do this – if we get in harmony with the universe – we will find that life because a much more pleasurable and meaningful experience.

Before we can begin to develop such a harmony with the universe, we first need to become familiar with certain key concepts and natural laws. We will discuss these more fully over the coming months so that we can learn to make use of them and not just indulge in idle talk, but for now the major points which you need to begin thinking about can be summarised as follows:

Concept 1 -  You are an eternal spiritual being
Although you have a physical body of flesh and blood, the real you is spiritual in nature. Because spirit is eternal, so you are eternal, and although your physical body will one day cease to function, the real you will never die. Instead it will soar free and continue on a new, magnificent adventure.

Concept 2 – There is a purpose for everything
You were not born into this world by accident, but you came here for a reason. In the same way, although sometimes events and circumstances may appear to be random and maybe even cruel, there is always a purpose for everything that happens in your life and in the world as a whole.

Concept 3 – You have great creative potential
Because you are a spiritual being, you were never designed to be a victim of life. On the contrary. You have incredible creative abilities which you can learn to use to dramatically improve your quality of life.
