A human being can be said to inhabit two universes – the exterior physical universe which is experienced via the physical senses, and the interior universe which is experienced via the mind and imaginative faculties. Understanding that you as an individual inhabit two universes and not just one is important, because trying to bring about change in the physical universe without first bringing about the same change in your interior universe is extremely difficult, if not impossible.

Your interior universe is your primary domain as a spiritual being, and it serves as a pattern upon which your external experience is built. Furthermore, if your interior universe and the exterior universe are ever in conflict, it is always the interior state that will win out.

For example, if you are perfectly at home in your interior universe and you enjoy a feeling of calm, tranquillity and being at cause over life, those feelings will be part of your external experience even if the outer environment is full of challenges and deadlines.

Of course, the opposite is also true, and if you lack confidence and peace in your own interior universe then you will lack the experience of confidence and peace externally even if the situations in the environment are conducive to confidence and peace.

When you recognise that your interior universe effectively shapes the experience that you have in the external world, it is immediately apparent that if you want to create good things in your external reality you first need to create good things in your interior universe.

Most popular Law of Attraction techniques such as creative visualization and affirmations work because they gradually bring about positive changes in your interior universe, thereby allowing you to experience similar changes externally. Unfortunately, most popular techniques don’t create change in the interior universe as effectively as they would if interior creation were their primary purpose.

Whilst creative visualization, affirmation and so on are excellent tools, it can often be even more effective to take more direct and deliberate control of your interior universe and focus fully on making it exactly as you would want your external universe to be. By taking that approach you get to experience immediate results in your interior universe and your outer-world experience will quite naturally fall into line in due course.

To start with, you could landscape your interior universe so that you really enjoy spending time there. In a previous article we have discussed how to create an inner temple, and the process here is much the same. The big difference is that instead of creating a single temple you create the entire inner landscape of your interior universe. How large you make this interior universe, and the form it takes, is up to you. The important thing is to make sure that it accurately reflects the kind of experience that you want to have in the exterior universe.

For example, if you want to live in a large house in the countryside and enjoy a high level of financial abundance, glowing health and complete peace of mind, you could create all of that in your interior universe. You could create your ideal home in great detail, create the specific amount of financial abundance that you want, give your interior universe body the health and vitality you want, and so on.

Or maybe you want to experience a greater level of self-confidence in the exterior universe, as well as more peace of mind. In that case you would create more self-confidence and peace of mind for yourself in your interior universe, in whatever way appeals to you.

Whatever your exterior universe goals, creating them first in your interior universe will make it far easier for you to experience them externally. Spend as much time landscaping your interior universe in whatever way you see fit, then get into the habit of enjoying it on a daily basis. You might like to set aside thirty minutes a day to close your eyes and enjoy the reality of your interior universe, or perhaps you would prefer to go there when you close your eyes to sleep at night. Your personal routine is not important – what is important is that you enjoy your interior universe, and create whatever experiences you desire there, on a daily basis.

As far as your interior universe is concerned, you are the sole Creator, and you have free reign to create what you will. You can create a brand new world or a continent almost as easily as you can create a modest garden sanctuary, so allow yourself to be as inventive as you like. Just remember, the experiences that you create in your interior universe serve as a blueprint for the experiences that you will have in the exterior universe, so always be sure to create good things!

Life on earth is like a dream. Birth is the moment when the dream begins, and physical death is the awakening. The time in-between – the dream of life – is totally under your control, whether you believe it to be so or not.

Let’s talk about dreams a little, because this is a metaphor which can be very useful.

When you are dreaming, anything can happen. You can be rich or poor, old or young, thin or fat. You can experience anything and everything. You can date celebrities, dine on the world’s most exotic foods, enjoy unlimited financial wealth and even fly through the air like a bird. On the other hand, you could be the victim of a bug-eyed monster, be chased by giant insects or wrestle with crocodiles in a sewer.

The dream is created by you, and no-one else. What you experience in the dream is determined by your frame of mind, your beliefs and your expectations. If, during a dream where you are flying, you suddenly realise that it is ‘impossible’ to fly, you would soon come down to earth with a crash! If, on the other hand, you believe that flight is natural, you would continue to soar until the dream came to an end.

So it is with the physical life, which is but an extended dream of around seventy years – sometimes longer, sometimes shorter. What you experience here in this dream is governed solely by your frame of mind, your beliefs and your expectations. If you think you need to work hard and long in order to make money, then that is what you will be forced to do. If, on the other hand, you believe that money comes to you automatically, then it will!

We realise that this sounds a little simplistic, but it is an essential truth. As a man thinketh, so he is. What your mind can conceive and believe, your mind can achieve. Ask, and you shall receive. These are all ways of saying the same thing:

Limitations in life are created by limitations in the way you think.

Do away with mental limitations and your life can be anything you want it to be!

Of course, breaking through the barrier of mental limitations is not easy. If it were then everyone would be doing it automatically, and there would be no need for a website such as this.

Breaking free from limitations may mean that you have to discard something that you were brought up to believe as being ultimate truth. For example, if you were brought up to believe that your way of thinking was the only correct way of thinking, you will need to get rid of this idea so that you can truly appreciate the customs, beliefs and essences of other people. This is by no means easy, but if you go with the flow and discard everything except that which you know intuitively, your life will become altogether simpler and more enjoyable. Life will lose any nightmarish quality and will instead become a wonderful, exhilarating dream.

So where does all of this talk about life and death and dreams bring us? Well, let us summarise the principles that have arisen from our discussion in this series:

- Our physical lives are finite. Death is inevitable, but not to be feared. Death is a gateway – a gateway home to the place where you truly belong.

- Because our physical lives are finite, we should make sure that we use every minute wisely. We should, when the time comes, be able to greet death with a smile and say, ‘I have accomplished and experienced all that I wanted to accomplish and experience.  I am ready to go home now.’

- Our life experiences are determined by our beliefs and expectations. Just as a dream is created solely through our own consciousness, so are the experiences of our physical lives.

These principles form the cornerstone of all forms of advanced spiritual knowledge, and so it should come as no surprise that we here at Create Good Things view them as being vitally important.

Changing The Dream

You visited Create Good Things because you want to change some aspect – or perhaps a few aspects – of the dream we call physical life. You want to enjoy a greater level of material success and prosperity, or you want to experience a better level of health, or you want to improve your relationships, or you simply want to increase your spiritual knowledge and power.

All of this is perfectly possible. All you need to do is recognise that change comes from within, and that you hold the key to your own success. We can show you different ways of turning that key, as it were, but it is you who must actually turn it. Just as you must follow a recipe in order to make a cake, so you must apply what you read here at Create Good Things if you actually want to get tangible results.

With that new understanding in mind, why not visit our Archive page and explore the information that we have made freely available for your benefit? Diligently apply what you learn and you will be able to start changing the dream of life as you desire.

The first step to designing your own tailor-made Magic Cloak is to decide what your ideal life would be like in as much detail as possible. Take a pencil and a notepad and seriously consider the following eight aspects of your ideal life:

Your Personality
What kind of person do you want to be? Confident? Optimistic? Cheerful? Kind? Passionate? Whatever it is, define it and get it down in your note-pad under the heading ‘Personality’.

Your Skills
What kind of skills do you want to have? The ability to play a musical instrument? Speak a foreign language? Repair motor cars? Write books? Again, note it down – this time under the heading of ‘Skills’.

Your Relationships
What kind of relationships do you want in your new life? Solid friendships? Casual friendships? Both? A lover? A spouse? What do your friends look like? What kind of personality does your lover or spouse have? Be as specific as possible and write your answers down under the appropriate heading.

Your Spirituality
Where would you like to be spiritually? Would you like to be able to experience altered states of awareness? Join a monastery or convent? Take a pilgrimage? Develop your intuition? Write your answers down.

Your Hobbies
What hobbies do you see yourself as having in your new life? Would you like to exercise regularly? Belong to a club or society? Go mountaineering or hiking? Learn to paint or draw? By now you know that your answers are to be noted in your pad.

Your Habits
What habits do you currently have which do not belong in your future life? Smoking? Drinking alcohol? Getting stressed in your car? Write your answers down in your pad, but note that these are habits which do not belong in your future life and are recorded for reference only.

Your Career & Finances
What is your ideal career? What do you do? Are you self-employed or do you work for someone else? How much abundance do you enjoy? What other forms of income do you have? How much money do you have in the bank?

Your Image
How do you look in your new life? What kind of clothes do you wear? What kind of car do you drive? Where do you live? What does your home look like? What kind of watch do you wear? What does your hair look like? What shape is your body in?

When you have answered the questions for all eight aspects of your new life, review what you have written. As you read, imagine seeing this ‘new you’ in your mind’s eye. Imagine living the life you have just designed.  Is there anything you would like to change, add or take away? If so, change, add or take away now whilst your design is only on paper.

Even though designing your life is a serious exercise, you can and should have a lot of fun whilst doing it. Imagine your new life in detail. Imagine the sights, sounds, smells, sounds and textures of this new reality. Explore the possibilities, be sure to remember that there are no limits and in the next article we will continue the Magic Cloak process…

Working with healing energy is not complicated. We all have the potential ability to speed not only our own healing, but also to transmit our healing energy to others in times of need through the laying on of hands. The technique which follows will show you how to speed your own healing.

To work with healing energy for your own benefit in order to help speed the natural healing process, you should recline on a bed or couch in a darkened room. Some people like to have soothing music, such as Reiki music, playing the background as they use this technique, but this is not essential. Regardless of whether you choose to use music or not, set an alarm clock or gentle time to wake you, as you could easily drift into a light sleep during this exercise.

Close your eyes and take twelve deep breaths to calm your mind and body. Relax completely and feel your body sinking into the bed or couch that is supporting you. Having done this, focus your attention on the centre of your being and visualize a swirling vortex of pale green energy. This is the healing energy which we all have and which you will be working with.

Watch the vortex of energy speed up and slowly expand, inch by inch, until it covers your body completely. When the energy has expanded to this stage you should feel incredibly relaxed. Spend a few more minutes allowing yourself to consciously bathe in this healing energy, feeling its healing powers soak through every fibre of your being, and then allow yourself to drift gently off to sleep.

When you awaken, you should do so feeling fully relaxed. For best effect, repeat this technique daily for as long as necessary.

To share your healing energy with others, continue expanding your energy beyond your body until it also bathes the patient. An alternative is to channel the healing energy through your hands and then lay your hands on the patient so that an energy transference can take place.

The first phase of a power mantra program is to determine the one quality that you would most like to have in your life. For some of you, this could be abundance. For others it could be health. For still others, it could be a new level of higher spiritual awareness.

Once you have determined the quality that you seek to create in your life, the next thing you must do is select a suitable power mantra from the selection provided at the end of this article. If there is no power mantra listed which you feel is suitable for your needs, you may create your own, and I will discuss how to do this in my next article.

For now, I will assume that you have determined a quality that you want to create in your life and that have found a suitable power mantra from the selection provided at the end of this article. In this case, you are ready to start using your power mantra. All you need to do is follow two simple steps:

Step #1  -  Stabilize Your Energy Field
Because the entire purpose of using Power Mantras is to change the state of your personal energy field, the first step is to ensure that this energy field is stabilized to begin with. To do this, go to a quiet place where you will not be disturbed and sit comfortably with your back straight.

Now close your eyes and concentrate your attention on the solar plexus (roughly where your two lowest ribs meet in the centre of your chest). Recognize this space as your ‘personal energy core’ – the place from which your personal energy field radiates. If it helps, you can visualize this energy core (some may prefer the term chakra) as a glowing ball of bright white energy. Focus on this core until you find that your mind has become calm and tranquil.

At this point, your personal energy field is deemed to have been stabilized. You may feel more centred than perhaps you normally do, and this is because you have brought your attention back to its own origin – the core of your being.

Step #2  -  Repeat The Mantra
Once you have stabilized your personal energy field, you should begin chanting the Power Mantra that you selected earlier. Obviously, the words you chant will depend on the specific mantra that you have selected, but a few general rules should be adhered to for any mantra, and these are:

Aim to develop a natural rhythm when chanting the mantra. At no point should your chanting make you feel out of breath. Instead, the mantra should be chanted in such a way that it fits in perfectly with a steady and relaxed breathing pattern.

If you have selected a mantra which consists of two or more individual words, do not worry about having to chant them separately. If you so desire, a two or three word mantra can be chanted as though it were one long word of roughly equal syllable lengths. For example, the mantra, ‘ABUNDANT PROSPERITY WEALTH IS FOR ME’ could be chanted as, ‘AB-UND-ANT-PROS-PER-IT-Y-WEALTH-IS-FOR-ME’ as if it were one long, flowing word.

As you chant your Power Mantra, imagine bands of pure energy radiating from your energy core, extending outwards in all directions to form a ‘bubble’ around your physical body. Every time you chant your mantra, a new band of energy strengthens the bubble of energy around you.

As you chant, begin to feel the emotion of what you want your Power Mantra to bring you. If you have selected a mantra for prosperity, begin to imagine how you will feel to be wealthy. Similarly, if you have selected a mantra for spiritual enlightenment, being to imagine how it will feel to have a higher spiritual awareness. If you can visualize these improvements in your life, then feel free to do so. What is most important, however, is to develop the emotion of having what you desire as you chant.

Spend at least ten minutes each day chanting your Power Mantra in this way. The ideal would be to chant in the manner described for fifteen minutes in the morning and for another fifteen minutes in the evening. Do this and you will begin to feel a subtle change in your outlook within a couple of days. Then, within a week or two, you should begin to notice at least a few signs of your desires manifesting in your reality. When this happens, get excited, for you are proving to yourself in your own life that you truly have the power to create good things!

When many people begin using Power Mantras for the first time, they often find that at some point during their mantra sessions the mantra they are chanting seems to lose all sense of meaning. It feels as if one is speaking gibberish which makes no sense.

This is nothing to worry about. All it suggests is that your mind is no longer processing the mantra as mere words, but as verbal ‘energy packets’ or vibrations which it integrates automatically. The words of the mantra will still work regardless of whether or not they seem to lose their meaning, so relax and go with the flow.

At this point, many of you will be wondering exactly how mantras work. What gives them their power? How do these verbal sounds help to change your life?

There is no easy answer to this question. Some believe that mantras enable you to by-pass the critical conscious mind and program your uncritical subconscious mind with blueprints of wealth, success, health or whatever else it is that your mantra was designed to attract. Others believe that the words of the mantra themselves contain positive energy which re-program your personal energy field to attract specific events or qualities into your life.

To be frank, we may never truly understand how mantras work from a purely scientific standpoint, but that isn’t really the object of the exercise. The objective is to get results regardless of whether or not we understand how those results are obtained. I would therefore encourage you to focus on using your power mantra on a regular basis, and allow the results you see in your life to speak for themselves.

For the benefit of new Create Good Things visitors, let me begin this series on Power Mantras by going over a few basic but nevertheless vitally important principles which form the foundation of all that I discuss here.

First of all, everything in the universe can be reduced to one basic substance – energy. The chair you sit in, the computer screen in front of you and your body itself are all different manifestations of a singular energy.

Secondly, the energy of the universe responds to thought (both conscious and subconscious). What you think on a regular, consistent basis alters the state of your own energy field and determines what conditions will be manifested in your life.

Thirdly, by using the preceding principles to deliberately alter the state of your personal energy field, you can determine for yourself what you want to be manifested in your life. In other words, you change your life greatly just by changing the quality (or vibration) of the energy that you put out into the universe.

The metaphysical theory behind these principles is sound, but theory is not enough. It
is not enough to simply tell people ‘change your thoughts and you will change your life,’ because, although this is true, we also need to address the question of, ‘How do I do that?’

There are many ways of answering this question simply because there are many ways in which one can begin to change the state of his or her own personal energy field. In this series we will focus on one of the most powerful methods I know of which is both easy to understand and simple to implement into your normal daily routine – the use of Power Mantras.

As many of you will already be aware, a mantra is a word or phrase which is repeated over and over during a period of meditation. The purpose of the mantra is two-fold:

To give the meditator something to focus on during the meditation period. Mantras dispel the need for creative visualization skills and the even more difficult ability to ‘empty the mind’.

To generate a specific state of awareness and/or to generate a specific state change in a personal energy field.

Normally, the aim of mantra meditation is to bring about a spiritual shift in consciousness and help an individual to increase their level of spiritual awareness. Whilst this is of course the highest use to which mantra meditation can be put, the technique can also be used quite legitimately for the manifestation of specific qualities or conditions in life.

Power mantras are specific words and phrases which can be used for just such a purpose. By selecting a power mantra which has been designed to change the state of your personal energy field in a certain way, you can effectively re-create your own reality from the inside out simply by using it on a regular basis.

For example, if you wish to experience a greater level of abundance in your life, you could use a power mantra which will help your personal energy field to begin to attract more and more financial success and abundance.

Or, if you wish to experience a greater level of romantic love in your life, you could use a power mantra which will help your personal energy field to begin to attract more in the way of romantic experiences.

The fact is that there is no limit to the applications to which power mantras can be put. In this series you will be given suitable power mantras for increased wealth, luck, health, and many other qualities that you might like in your life.

Talk about the power of faith to many people and the reaction you will get can often be quite negative. Faith is seen all too often as some fuzzy, wishy-washy concept which sounds very good in theory but seldom works in the real world. It is seen as a nice idea, but one which has no real substance or power.

In this series on The Power of Faith we will go back to basics and discuss what true faith is, how it works and how we can all use it on a daily basis to create good things and revolutionize our lives. Forget pretty phrases and sentimentality – this series is all about the kind of faith that is guaranteed. The kind of faith that gets real results.

True faith is the stuff that moves mountains. It can turn around any situation in life both quickly and effectively. It can turn poverty into abundance, sickness into health, shyness into confidence and fear into power. It is a metaphysical state of mind which truly unleashes the awesome power which we all have within us. Make no mistake, the power of faith can work miracles.

Before we continue, we should define what faith is. From a metaphysical point of view, faith is knowing beyond a shadow of doubt that a goal has already come to pass. Faith is a feeling of absolute certainty that something has already happened regardless of whether or not external life circumstances back up that feeling.

One Law of Attraction author says this: “Belief that the miracle has already happened always comes before the miracle can be seen by all.” In other words, faith always precedes manifestation.

And it has to be this way if you think about it. Anything which is created has to be born in faith otherwise it could not be created at all. If a writer wants to have written a best-seller then he must first have faith that he has the talent of a best-selling writer. If a carpenter wants to have made a beautiful piece of furniture then he first has to believe that he is capable of creating such a piece. Without the faith that he is able to succeed, neither the writer nor the carpenter would even bother trying to achieve their goal.

Faith here is much more than an intellectual nodding of the head. It is more than a half-hearted affirmation that says, ‘Yes, maybe I could do it.’ True faith is a conviction – an unshakeable belief that says, ‘YES! I CAN DO IT!’ It contains energy and emotion and when you have that sort of faith then nothing is impossible.

The biggest problem most people face is generating that kind of rock-solid faith and conviction. They know that having faith works wonders and they know that they need to be totally confident in a positive outcome if they are to experience the manifestation of their desires. The trouble is that they don’t know how to get that kind of faith. Thus they do their best but the miracles, wonders and manifestations never quite happen. The aim of this new Power of Faith series is to solve that problem.
