In Create a New Self-Image IV we presented Step 2 and Step 3 of our five-step process to recreate your self-image. We will now end the series by presenting Step 4 and Step 5…

Step #4 – Create a New Self Image

Your new self image should be based on the information that you gleaned from your visit to your future self. What inner beliefs enabled your future self to succeed in achieving his or her desire? What had your future self done to succeed? What habits had your future self established?

The answers to these questions should now be adopted as your new self-image. Realise that as of right now, you already are the future self you visited earlier. If you adopt the same beliefs, habits and attitudes, your future will be an exact replica of the one you saw a few moments ago.

Forget past limitations. Forget earlier programming. From this point on you are born again! Your whole life will change, because you have changed at the very core.

Step #5 – You Are The Source

Most people assume that they have to wait for success to come to them. The truth is that success is something which is projected from your own self image. Now that you have a new self-image of success and achievement, you will actively begin to take steps which will ultimately lead to the realisation of your goals and dreams.

Your only task as far as this step of the process is concerned is to meditate on the fact that your future self is being created moment by moment, and that your new self-image will now assist your use of the Law of Attraction in ways you cannot yet imagine. Use it wisely and create good things!

Creative visualization is one of the most popular metaphysical techniques in the world. If you have been reading the articles here at Create Good Things for a while you will certainly be familiar with the concept: If you want to manifest something or some quality in your life, you should sit down on a regular basis and visualize yourself as already having that thing or quality.

Unfortunately, some people find that they can’t seem to make visualization work for them. It doesn’t matter how hard they try, the results just don’t come. It’s as if something is actually preventing the manifestation from taking place.

In most cases, something really is preventing the process, and that ‘something’ is the self-image of the individual.

Your self-image is the mental representation of who you truly believe you are. In most cases it consists of one or a series of mental images which represent, as far as your subconscious mind is concerned, the ‘real you’.

Now here is the vital point: Your subconscious mind will never allow you to experience anything in life which is in conflict with your self-image. No matter how hard you work, visualize, affirm or meditate, your self-image will always dictate what can and what cannot be manifested in your life.

Since this is the case, you should now be able to understand why visualization and other similar metaphysical techniques don’t work for some people. In almost all such instances, the self-image of the individual over-rides all metaphysical efforts in an effort to preserve the ‘status quo’. Let us give you an example of how this often takes place.

Jane, a young lady in her mid-twenties, had learned about creative visualization and decided to begin using it to increase her level of career and financial success. Every day for several months, Jane sat down and visualized the things she wanted in her life – a fine home, a smart automobile, a rewarding career and financial independence.

Now during the course of this visualization programme, several opportunities arose which could have enabled Jane to realise her ambitions. Yet when she came to take advantage of these various opportunities, every one of them vanished. Job offers were withdrawn for no reason, help which she had been offered from friends and acquaintances was not forthcoming and so on.

After several months of such let-downs, Jane lost her faith in visualization altogether. ‘It just doesn’t work,’ she would tell her friends. ‘I’ve tried as hard as I can, but even when things start looking up, something happens to take me right back to square one.’

The problem in this case wasn’t creative visualization at all. As many thousands of people can testify, visualization is one of the most effective metaphysical techniques there is.

So what was the problem?

The problem was that Jane’s self-image was in direct opposition to the things she was visualizing. Far from seeing herself as a person worthy of success, Jane always felt inferior. She viewed successful people as though they were automatically better and more deserving than she was.

In other words, Jane’s visualization efforts failed simply because she was trying to achieve something which would actually jeopardize her own self-image, and because of this her subconscious mind set to work – acting to prevent her visualized goals from ever becoming a reality.

Now the idea of one aspect of an individual working against another aspect of the same individual may sound strange, but in fact it happens all the time.

Consider a person who wants to quit smoking. He tries once, twice, three times, but he always ends up lighting another cigarette.

Or consider the person who wants to succeed financially. He tries once, twice, three times, but he always seems to end up right back where he started.

In both of these situations – and in a very many others – all that is happening is that the subconscious mind works to ensure that the individual fails. Why? Because the man who smokes has a self-image of himself as a smoker, and the man who wants to succeed financially actually has a self-image of failure and poverty. In both cases, the subconscious mind simply must ensure that they do not reach their goals, because if they did their respective self-images would be shattered.

In the world of metaphysics, the self-image can be likened to the ‘homing device’ on a powerful missile. The homing device is pre-programmed with a definite destination. When the missile is launched it always looks to its homing device for directions. Of course, the wind may blow the missile off track on occasion, but in these cases it simply refers once again to its homing device and corrects its own path so that it finally reaches the destination that has been pre-programmed.

If you are not progressing as quickly as you think you ought to be, in whatever area of life, then the chances are that your self-image is pulling you in a different direction.

That’s the bad news. The good news is that you can deliberately re-programme your subconscious mind with a brand new set of instructions which are automatically geared towards helping you to manifest prosperity, happiness and success in all areas of life, and this is where creating a new self-image comes into play.

The second Step Out of Body exercise is called the Mind Probe and it allows you to project your consciousness out of your body and to temporarily ‘step into’ the mind of someone else so that you can see circumstances and topics of conversation from their point of view. Please note that how you use this particular skill is your responsibility. We strongly advise that you use it only to help you understand other people and their perspectives, and not to gather information for any other purpose. That said, here is the Mind Probe technique for you to practice…

Still your mind completely and relax your physical body.

Step out of your physical body and ‘stand’ in front of the person you wish to perceive from for the purpose of this exercise.

Now gently ‘walk into’ that person and familiarise yourself with being inside their physical body. How does it feel? What emotions are you experiencing? What thoughts come to mind?

Try and perceive the world or a specific situation or problem from this person’s point of view. How does it look? How does it make you feel? How could it be better? What would you like to change? What do you really want?

When you have explored this perception as fully as you want to, step out of that body and back into your own. The Mind Probe is complete.

The benefits of this technique are truly amazing, for it can enable you to help yourself by helping other people get what you want. Let us explain with a couple of examples:

Consider a woman who is married to a man who seems to have lost any sense of passion he once had. Instead of getting frustrated or resentful, she could perform a quick Mind Probe and see the situation from his point of view. Doing so, she might see that she herself is not helping the relationship – that she doesn’t take as much care over her appearance as she used to, or that she isn’t as enthusiastic and playful as she used to be. Armed with this information, the woman can then adjust her own behaviour to please her husband and spark off the renewal of passion that she had wanted in the first place.

Or consider a salesman who is meeting a prospective client. By performing a quick Mind Probe the salesman can find out quite effectively what the prospective client is looking for. This will enable him to find the product which would ideally suit the needs of the prospect, thus helping to both close a profitable sale and help the client at the same time.

Obviously there are many more uses to which the Mind Probe can be legitimately put to use, but once again we must stress that any use of such a technique should benefit the person being probed as well as yourself. Using the Mind Probe technique in order to manipulate other people goes entirely against the philosophy of using the Law of Attraction to Create Good Things and is therefore not to be recommended.


Many metaphysical practitioners and students are creative individuals with a strong artistic flair. For this reason, creative magick is something which has been used for centuries by practitioners to attract wealth, success, power and other common desires, and you too can begin using it for the same purposes.

Begin by choosing a mode of expression. Creative Magick can be worked through painting, sculpture, drawing or any other form of artistic creation. It matters little if you have great talent in any of these areas. Your creations will be for personal use only to achieve a magickal end, not for public exhibition.

Having selected a mode of expression which appeals to you (for example, drawing) take the necessary tools (pencils and paper) and create the image of what you most want in your life. The image may be literal, or it may be symbolic, as you feel is most appropriate.

As you create the image of your desire with pencils, clay, oils or any other medium, be mindful of the fact that you are simultaneously creating the actual manifestation of your desire on a non-physical plane of existence. You are, in fact, visualizing your desire as you create the physical image, thus establishing a spiritual bond between the physical creation and the actual desire.

When you have completed creating the image, display it in your private room. Then, on a daily basis, visit the image and chant the following phrase seven times:

‘This or something better is even now coming into my life.’

If you wish, you may begin another creation (for the same desire – you should not try to focus on more than one desire at a time using this method) whilst you are waiting for your desire to come to pass. Many seasoned practitioners find that they rarely need to create more than a few such images before their desire has materialised on the earth plane, but of course this does to some extent depend on the nature of the desire.

The creative magick technique presented here can be extraordinarily effective in helping you to create good things in your life. If putting your creative urges to good use sounds like an attractive idea then follow the instructions provided and try it for yourself!

Remote healing is the term used to describe the sending of healing energy to a person who is situated some distance away. The person in question could be just a few hundred yards away or thousands of miles away and remote healing could be applied with equal benefit. Of course, remote healing techniques should never be used as an alternative to conventional treatment, but as a supplementary treatment in the same way that a traditionally religious person might use prayer.

Due to the nature of this exercise we suggest that you obtain the recipient’s permission to try and assist him or her using remote healing and that the recipient is sitting or lying in a relaxed position at the time you use the technique. Then proceed as follows:

- Go to a quiet place and make the room as dark as possible. Try to ensure that you will not be disturbed for at least fifteen minutes.

- Sit down comfortably on the floor or in a chair, but make sure that your back is as straight as possible.

- Close your eyes and take seven deep breaths. With every inhalation and exhalation imagine that a swirling spiral of pure white energy in the region of recipient’s solar plexus is getting stronger and more vibrant.

- Now visualize yourself inside the recipient’s solar plexus. Spend a few minutes allowing your consciousness to adjust to being inside another individual.

- Imagine being surrounded by the pure white energy in the recipient’s solar plexus. Hear the sound it makes – the sound of a thousand waterfalls roaring with power.

- Once you are comfortable with your consciousness inside the recipient’s solar plexus, begin to travel towards the area that needs attention. As you travel, the pure white energy comes with you. 

For example, if the recipient has a sprained ankle, imagine yourself travelling down from the solar plexus into the groin, and then down through the leg to the ankle.

- When you arrive inside the part of the body which needs attention, imagine yourself spinning on the spot. As you spin, the pure white energy spins with you. Allow yourself to spin faster and faster, at impossible speeds. As you do this, note that the power which is spinning around you begins to hum loudly.

- Now imagine that the pure white power around you explodes and floods every cell in the part of the body you are in. Feel it energizing the body in the immediate vicinity, helping to eradicate sickness and replacing it with health and vitality. Spend around five minutes doing this.

- When you have done, travel back to the solar plexus and take a few deep breaths.

- Now transfer your consciousness back to your own solar plexus and, when your are comfortable, open your eyes. Allow yourself to adjust to being back in a normal state of consciousness before getting up and continuing with the rest of your day.

In the first part of this two-part series on How to Amplify the Law of Attraction, we said that the key to experience the full power of the Law of Attraction is to learn to work on a feeling level as well as on an intellectual level. We said that, as well as adjusting your thoughts, you also need to adjust how you feel if you want to manifest your desires as quickly as possible. So how exactly can you do that?

You have no doubt heard one commonly offered solution, which is to ‘act as if’ the thing you desire is already a part of your life. That is excellent advice, but to get the most out of it you should understanding that ‘acting as if’ doesn’t simply mean pretending that any feelings of lack that you might have don’t exist. Rather, it means transforming any feelings of lack into feelings of havingness.

Going back to the example that we used in the previous part of this series, if you wanted to experience a greater level of abundance in your life you would need to develop the feeling of already having all the abundance you could ever desire.

Developing such feelings of ‘havingness’ is something that many people find difficult due to the fact that physical reality often contradicts the desire that they hold. The secret to overcoming this problem is to start looking at life from the perspective of the unlimited spiritual being that you really are instead of the limited physical being that you appear to be.

As a spiritual being you lack nothing, so from this higher perspective you can quite easily develop a sense of ‘havingness’ about abundance, health, peace of mind, success, confidence or whatever else you would like to experience on the physical plane. And because you can, as a spiritual being, enjoy a sense of havingness with ease, by maintaining that feeling you will automatically raise your energy and amplify the Law of Attraction in your physical life.

We can therefore summarise the approach that you need to take to amplify the Law of Attraction as follows:

1 – Identify the condition that you want to experience in your life. (For example, abundant wealth).

2 – Adopt the perspective of the unlimited spiritual being that you really are and, from that higher perspective, enjoy the reality that you already have what you would like on the physical plane. (For example, as a spiritual being you already enjoy abundant wealth right at this moment because you are one with all the abundance in the universe).

3 – Maintain this sense of havingness and do not let it go. Even when your physical situation changes for the better (as it must when you adopt this approach to working with the Law of Attraction) there is never any need to revert to your previous perspective. Instead, continue enjoying your sense of havingness so that the Law of Attraction can continue enriching your life on an ongoing basis.

If you have ever wanted to amplify the Law of Attraction in your own life then try applying the ideas that we have presented here for a few weeks. When you bring a higher quality of energy to the task by developing a sense of havingness in advance, you will find that the Law of Attraction works far more effectively than you have ever dared to imagine. Enjoy!

Once you have developed your natural telepathic ability (see Develop Your Natural Telepathy) it is actually quite easy to start developing animal telepathy. It is important to understand, of course, that animals do not communicate telepathically in sentences or even words. Instead, they tend to communicate in a non-verbal vibrational language of emotions and feelings.

To start developing animal telepathy, sit in the same room as a cat, dog or other domesticated animal. Once you are seated, close your eyes and take a few slow, deep breaths to relax your mind and body. Then, when you feel ready, mentally send an emotion of love to the animal. Don’t think the word ‘love’ but instead concentrate on conveying the emotion of love telepathically.

When you have done this, empty your mind and ‘listen’ to any impressions that you receive back in return. Often, especially with pets such as dogs and cats which rely on you to provide them with food and affection, the response will also be one of love. In fact your pet may well respond physically to your telepathic transmission by showing affection in return.  This is an excellent indication that your attempt to communicate non-verbally has been successful.

Practice this technique often and you will come to recognise the unique ways in which members of the animal kingdom communicate with those who take the time to listen. Indeed, some people can spend hours ‘talking’ to their pets just as if they were talking to human beings.

As stated at the beginning of this item, if you want to successfully tune into the natural world and start developing animal telepathy, you should already be able to tune into other human beings telepathically. If you cannot yet do this then perceiving the even more subtle telepathic signals from members of the animal kingdom simply won’t be possible. Once again, the key to success here is to practice the technique that we have just provided on a regular basis.
